The Department of Information Technology has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Business Analyst (mostly remote).

This Analyst position will support the University’s Student Information System (SIS) known as CaneLink. The CaneLink system is used by students, faculty, and staff for enrollment, billing, admissions and much more.

  • Analyze current business and system processes for potential areas of improvement.
  • Actively participate in problem solving initiatives to determine root cause, gap analysis, along with the development and implementation of process improvement recommendations
  • Support helpdesk activities, including:
  • analyzes support incident tickets to ensure efficient assignments to relevant areas
  • follow up on pending support incident tickets to ensure resolution
  • supports helpdesk responses and resolutions for student incident tickets
  • ticket creation as needed
  • Assists testing in support of upgrades to the CaneLink system and coordinates with the users with their testing
  • Prepares and maintains documentation like business requirement documents, test cases, diagrams, and meeting minutes.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience. Any relevant education, certifications and/or work experience may be considered.

Knowledge, Skills, and Attitudes:

  • Skill in collecting, organizing, and analyzing data.
  • Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment in making critical decisions.
