Responsibilities*
Analyze synchronized neural activity and behavior data, including implementing and customizing open-source pipelines for the analysis of in vivo calcium imaging in freely behaving mice; create new data analysis pipelines in Python to answer experimental questions in behavioral and computational neuroscience; create interactive visualization dashboards that integrate neural activity and behavior data; assist lab members and the PI in statistical planning and analysis of projects based on the expected constraints related to hardware, animal behavior, and expected results; construct, maintain and modify (when necessary) the laboratory computing infrastructure to fit evolving needs; & assist the PI and lab personnel in the reporting of computational results in abstracts, manuscripts and grant applications.
Required Qualifications*
Master’s in computer science or data science + 2 years of experience: Using R & Python to design and implement statistical models to analyze behavior, including Generalized Linear Models, Logistic Regression, and Multilevel Regression Models; utilizing Python automation for data cleaning and pattern extraction; & developing interactive visualization from statistical models.
