Department Summary
The Research Information Systems and Analytics department is a reporting, analysis, and project management organization within the UNTHSC Division of Research and Innovation, providing support for the Office of Sponsored Programs and Office of Research Compliance, as well as the Institutes and Centers at UNTHSC.
Position Overview
The Research Administration Project Coordinator Data Analyst serves as a point of contact for requesting and tracking access to and permissions within critical systems. They will coordinate between business users and system owners to resolve issues within HSC’s Research Administration Systems. They will also be responsible for the timely update of reports and delivery of data across several layers of business, running queries and updating data visualizations to ensure that DRI, OSP, and ORC reports are accurate and up to date.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and one (1) year related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong mathematical and technical ability.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Working knowledge of relational databases.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office including Access and Excel.
- Ability to quickly assimilate to specific software.
- Ability to quickly assimilate how data sets impact related systems and functions
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with SQL, and experience with customer service.
