This role collects and analyzes data to create reports for teams/ departments. Develop various graphs, data visuals and databases, to share key information. Create presentations and reports based on recommendations and findings.

Job Description

The position will coordinate the chart extraction and data entry into the appropriate Neurosurgery clinical database(s). The individual will utilize expert computer skills to ensure the accuracy of the data entered into the clinical database(s) and support the department’s efforts to provide data to clinicians for clinical inquiry, quality improvement projects, and / or research. The individual will work very closely with faculty leaders to ensure the quality of the data. They will work under the faculty direction with a direct reporting line to the Administrative & Financial Officer.

Responsibilities

Assures accurate data extrapolation and data entry.

Works very closely with faculty leaders to understand data entry points and quality assurance to ensure data entered is 98-100% accurate.

Works collaboratively with other members of the quality and research teams as well as with revenue cycle to ensure the accuracy and integrity of data collection and entry.

Contributes to reports and publications as directed / required.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science and 0 to 1 year of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required

Knowledge of or ability to learn Epic, Red Cap, CSV

Computer proficiency including Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Ability to work independently but also to collaborate with physicians and teams

Ability to identify problems and help find creative, effective solutions

Preferred Skill

Prior data management experience, knowing different computer languages (Python, MatLab, etc)
