Job Summary
Direct/Manage/Supervise data management teams to provision complex datasets and databases (e.g., link, architect, standardize, harmonize, quality control, and version datasets).

Responsibilities
  • Develop policies and procedures to ensure integrity and accuracy of data and projects.
  • Review existing/commercial and/or program software packages to ensure efficient, novel, and high-quality deliverables.
  • Lead process validation for products throughout the product life cycle, from research and development to operation and distribution (e.g., data abstraction tools, production of derived datasets, sandboxes, and data science analytics).
  • Conduct routine testing of workflow and products, investigate abnormal results, and troubleshoot issues.
  • Ensure accurate records of validation activities and participate in internal audits and external inspections as required.
  • Recognized as subject matter expert and advanced individual contributor professional.
  • Requires specialized skill set.
  • Conducts highly complex work, unsupervised and with extensive latitude for independent judgment.
  • Requires comprehensive understanding of the organization and functional area.
  • May respond to questions from regulatory authorities on data issues.
  • Consult and collaborate with scientists to ensure optimal use of datasets and data science tools.
  • Assists Director in defining and operationalizing organizational goals, strategic plans, and educational products.
  • Typically requires a master’s or doctorate degree (or international equivalent) and 10+ years of relevant experience.
