Advanta is seeking a highly motivated Research Trials Data Manager who will be based at Vavilala, Hyderabad (Telangana), India and will be responsible to compile research trials data of FC & VC across India by developing and executing strong coordination with the trialling team, breeders, do basic analysis (Single trial, multi location trial analysis) through provided software. The job also requires need based product data compilation for registrations at central, state level, PPV&FR and for internal product Tech notes.
The job requires good knowledge/experience in computer application and Agricultural Research Trials Data Management. It also requires good presentation skills. Good Communication skills are essential.
Reporting to : India Research Trialling Manager
Role & Responsibilities: FC & VC
- Prior information collection on trial details from respective crop breeders and inform trial team for planning of resources
- Ensure randomizations, trial field maps, field books from respective crop breeders to reach trialling team location in time
- Providing technical assistance to field staff for data collection as per the trait dictionary
- Regular follow up with Area/Regional Trial managers on crop status, agronomy practices / data collection as per recommended practices
- Generate monthly status reports on Trialling activities and circulate to all stake holders
- Data cleaning and compilation of completed trials as per trait dictionary before submitting to respective breeders for analysis
- Data validation if required, through single trial analysis
- Assisting in preparation of trial reports (.excel and .ppt) for meetings
- Visit trial locations as per requirement along with trial managers
- Data compilation for product registrations for PPV&FRA, SAU, WVRP, CVRC-RP, AICRIP data etc..
Desired Skills & Experience
- Candidate should have degree or M.Sc.(Ag) , preferred subjects , Plant Breeding, Agronomy, Horticulture , Statistics etc.
- Should have good knowledge of various experimental designs for Agriculture experiments and their analysis by using software
- Should have very good knowledge of computer applications, (.PPT preparation, Excel handling)
- Should have good interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills
- Should have tendency to work for longer period of time on computer
- Should have good capacity to stakeholder management
- Should have good knowledge of plant breeding related traits
- Should have the capabilities to check and ensure the data relevancy as per the crop traits of higher and lower limits.
- Provides on-going consultation and technical assistance to field team for data feeding & submission.
- Foster cordial relationship with concerned field team and collect data timely.
- Should have good capacity & habit of maintaining data records in a durable and accessible manner with full responsibility of integrity and privacy.
- Should be very careful & demonstrate full responsibility of protecting the system by maintaining up-to-date versions of all software, anti-virus/firewall protection and media storage devices, etc. for the data safety & security.
- Should know the processes and procedures for data compilation including data cleaning, standardization as per the crop wise trait dictionary for final analysis.
- Present data for conferences and meetings in standard formats
- Minimum of 3-5 yrs s of experience in related field
- Demonstrated experience of data management of research trials.
- Demonstrated ability to handle complex timelines and stakeholders
Self-motivated person that takes initiative and is able to work with minimal supervision
