Role Summary
The Data Analyst will be responsible for providing analysis expertise and application development of company business analytics through existing business intelligence and reporting platforms.
This role will collaborate with business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements, consult on effective performance measurements and develop necessary reporting dashboards that execute against strategic business plans.
Roles and Responsibilities
What You Will Do:
- Be immersed in diverse teams. You will jointly with your colleagues (e.g., a Product Owner, Data Scientists, Data Engineers and other analysts) build innovative data analytics products for the world-wide Customer care teams to enable them to provide efficient and excellent customer service.
- Data exploration, visualization, and dashboarding. Build analytics end user tools, incl. self-service dashboards, to surface insights and enable stakeholders to identify trends and drivers, perform exploratory data analyses and present views that will provide visibility into our performance.
- Data analysis and modeling. Incorporate multiple data sources and methodologies to find opportunities to drive insights, efficiency, and performance in our customer support to create a great customer experience and contribute to our growth.
- Collaborating in a fast paced, agile environment that focuses on delivering customer value early and often.
- Value driven impact partner for key business partners, identifying and influencing strategy and growth opportunities.
- Preparing reports for executive leadership that effectively communicate trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data
- Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
- Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
- Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
- Filter and clean data (identify data inconsistencies and gaps) by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems
- Work with management to prioritize business and information needs
Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
Desired Candidate Profile
- Experienced. 3+ years of experience in analytics and the eCommerce environment; experience in coaching and guiding junior colleagues or leading teams; Bachelors degree in Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics or related field; experience in customer service and customer contact centers are a plus.
- Passionate about data and technology. Proficient in SQL and in creating great self-service dashboards, e.g., in Tableau or Looker. Other programming languages (e.g., Python, R, Google Analytics) and experience with advanced analytics techniques, like natural language processing, text analysis, and sentiment analysis, are a plus.
- Customer focused. Ability to not just think about improving the end customer experience, but also to build intuitive analytics tools by partnering closely with the internal users; excellent stakeholder management as internal customers.
- Inquisitive by nature. Comfortable with exploratory analysis and statistical techniques and able to find meaningful patterns and trends in the data; ability to tackle complex problems, drawing inferences from data, and create workable solutions based on business rules.
- A resourceful and driven problem solver. Strong analytical thinking, excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail and ability to effectively deliver on projects and support multiple business partners.
