You will be supporting our proven core admin solutions and business process-as-a-service (BPaaS) operations to provide transparency, improve operational efficiency, break down operational barriers to scale and drive strategic growth.
You Are
The Reporting Analyst is responsible for configuration and maintenance of the reports required by the Business Operations team, including documenting requirements for the development of reports, report configuration, testing and handoff to Claims or IT Operations for production.
The Reporting Analyst will consult with the Claims Operations leadership to implement and manage report production in SQL, HRP Answers, HRP Ad Hoc, PROMT and Excel. The Reporting Analyst will also provide demonstrations of the reporting applications and report generation process upon request.
The Opportunity
- Help the Claim Operations team define business problems requiring data analysis, reporting and ongoing monitoring.
- Identify best practices for HRP-related reporting processes.
- Recommend documentation templates, reusable assets etc. as required.
- Act as the department’s subject matter expert and administrator for SQL, HRP Answers, Ad Hoc and PROMT reporting capabilities and inventory of established operational reports.
- Engage with client stakeholders during advisory engagements regarding operational reports
- Review draft customer statements of work for operational reports requirements and any related SLAs for report production and delivery.
- Develop UST HealthProof’s Brand with the client.
- Support the business in solving high priority issues that affect claims processing turnaround times, accuracy and auto adjudication rates
- Analyse the business needs of a client in order to recommend and evaluate solutions to those needs with support from lead BA. Perform Business Analysis tasks with minimal support from the lead BA.
- Work with right stakeholders to understand and define their needs and objectives in a way that can be understood resolved and actionable
- Consistently plan a business analysis approach for complex situations
- Design defines and test project/product requirements
- Play multiple roles within activities prescribed by a methodology
- Proactively develop a meeting frequency to assess progress (e.g. weekly biweekly)
- Engage all stakeholders and gain consensus in agreement of results
- Create the software requirements artefacts and deliverables
- Communicate complex information in an easy-to-understand manner
- Consistently develop effective change control processes for complex requirements and designs.
- Determine the appropriate level of abstraction for business analysis information in complex environments
- Align complex requirements with design with some support from Lead BA if available
- Understand BA knowledge areas appropriately to be able to use to solve a business problem
- Analyse business needs and solutions Facilitate stakeholder collaboration effectively and efficiently along with some guidance from Lead BA
- Validate and verify information to identify solution options that meet business needs identify and leverage the appropriate business analysis tools based on the requirements and purpose of the task
- Establish and implement effective requirement creation and management practices with required guidance from the Lead BA/Project Manager
- Define software quality attributes external interfaces constraints and other non-functional requirements with required support from the lead BA
- Perform complex impact assessments of changes to requirements and designs
- Ensure that project team fully understand the project requirements specifications and that testing results correspond to the business expectations/needs
What You Need
- 5+ years of overall experience in business requirements, operational reports definition, programming and production.
- 3+ years spent in various claims operations roles.
- Deep understanding of analytical, methodological and resourceful approach to problem solving, identifying root causes and corrective actions to meet short and long-term business goals.
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills and strong analytical.
- The ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
