Job Location: Malvern, PA
The Data Governance Analyst will support the development and implementation of a data governance center of excellence for investment data management.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Develops and oversees day-to-day management of data governance policies and processes needed to strongly govern all investment data.
- Manages investment data ownership and reviews data usage requests to ensure adherence to investment data governance policies.
- Influences the engagement of investment data consumers as needed to successfully promote the adherence of investment data governance policies.
- Executes systematic and manual efforts to increase and/or maintain the highest standard of data quality.
- Maintains strong collaborative relationships and alignment with relevant strategic partners across the enterprise (primarily the Enterprise Data Governance Program & Privacy group, and the Enterprise Risk Management group) for data. Works with these enterprise teams to adopt best practices around data management and manages the application of those rigors to data.
- Implements cost-effective solutions to data capture. Works with IT to ensure that data can easily be stored, retrieved, and leveraged for various organizational uses.
- Develops and maintains data quality and data governance operational metrics and continually monitors metrics to identify potential issues.
- Maintains an understanding of industry trends in data governance and provides updates to the team to build business acumen. Maintains an understanding of the intersection of technology solutions and data governance.
- Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree, or an equivalent combination of training and experience required.
- Minimum five years general experience with progressively responsible work experience including successfully managing project(s) from beginning to end strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the data governance discipline, data quality, data management, or data architecture.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and maintains a professional presence. Proven ability to effectively communicate with external providers, internal business clients, and crew members at all levels.
- Excellent judgment and ability to analyze issues quickly and independently to take appropriate action with minimal supervision.
- Excellent, demonstrated problem identification, analysis, and resolution skills.
- Flexibility, strong decision making skills, and effective time management skills.
- Strong knowledge and skills using current versions of the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Detail oriented with a high level of energy. Proven self-starter with ability to work independently and within teams.
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels in the organization. Ability to lead initiatives to desired conclusion.
