Job Description

The Business Analyst, Client Success role will partner with and support our Client Success Consultants as they provide professional client services and support to our industry partners. The role primarily focuses on gathering and analysis of internal and external claims and anti-fraud solution data and helping translate the data for meaningful insights and communication. The role will involve in depth analysis and research of trends, results, and projections. It will be important to develop expertise using our anti-fraud solution suite to assist with creating and maintaining customer and business data, reports and dashboards. This role will also involve assisting with client communications in support of our client success team.

To succeed in this role, you should have a natural curiosity and analytical way of thinking. An ability to work with data and numbers and understand the concepts they represent as well as being able to explain difficult concepts to non-technical users. The successful candidate will have strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively work with our internal team and directly with clients.


About the Day to Day Responsibilities of the Role


Responsibilities & Essential Duties:

  • Conduct analysis for internal and external users to gather critical information to gain an understanding to support our clients’ success and needs.
  • Provide analysis and utilze current product sourced data to support client solution presales, trials, proofs of concept, value analysis, and stewardship of existing accounts
  • Translate business data and analysis, sometimes technical, for internal and external teams, helping to generate an understanding of data insights and results
  • Evaluate business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and participating in client pipeline activity for our solutions
  • Work closely with managerial staff, the client success group and cross functional teams to ensure solution support and analysis meets business and client needs and requirements
  • Effectively communicate insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management.
  • Conduct internal and some external meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings.
  • Develop a meticulous understanding of Verisk-ISO solutions and services.
  • This role may support and create documentation for client product training initiatives
  • This role will participate in testing newly developed products, requirements, functionality and features and provide meaningful analysis.
  • Prioritizing initiatives based on business needs and requirements
  • Completes all responsibilities as outlined on annual Performance Plan.
  • Completes all special projects and other duties as assigned.
  • Limited travel required

Qualifications


Required Skills:

  • 3-5 years of experience in business analysis or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a client facing services role or equivalent experience
  • Experience identifying suspicious elements found in insurance fraud
  • Ability to effectively absorb and recall detail and methodology for effective analysis
  • Excellent planning, customer service, organizational, analytical, conceptual thinking, and time management skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Ability to provide extraordinary client care
  • Proficiency in business intelligence tools such as Power BI, SSRS, or Tableau
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Insurance claim data reporting experience preferred


Encouraged Skills:

  • Direct experience working with Special Investigation Units (SIU) helpful
  • Experience with advanced data analysis and analytic techniques desirable
  • Prior experience using industry anti-fraud solution products for claim, underwriting or provider risk scoring, network analytics or case management a plus. Examples: ClaimSearch, NetMap for Claims, Decision Net Public Records, ClaimDirector, MedSentry, or Case Manager powered by Sequel.


Minimal Education and Training Requirements:

  • 4-year college degree or equivalent experience
  • 3 plus years experience in insurance industry claims, fraud analysis and investigation
  • Knowledge of insurance operations and claim analytics
