What you’ll be doing…

Our Corporate Information Security (CIS) Data Management team enables the business by collecting, processing, storing, protecting, and sharing data to provide actionable intelligence to our security partners. This job role will support enterprise-scale data collection and logging infrastructures. You will work with a diverse, remote team of technical principals to deploy and manage data collection and logging infrastructures across AWS and data center networks. You will be responsible for systems administration of Splunk Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) application services and other data collection and processing tools.

  • Using automation and code management tools, and collaborate with Jira, Confluence, and other workflow processes.
  • Working independently and with a team to provide enterprise logging as a service to our corporate partners.
  • Developing data collection pipelines integrating new pre-ingestion services. You will also manage on-boarding of new data sources.
  • Developing monitoring tools to provide situational awareness, and manage and document enterprise change and configuration control processes.
  • Developing and sharing documentation with peers and your leadership team.

Where you’ll be working…
In this remote role, you’ll work from home with occasional in-person trainings and meetings.

What we’re looking for…

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience
  • Knowledge of Splunk logging platform infrastructures and processes, including how to use Splunk Processing Language (SPL) to generate reports and information.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • A degree.
  • Technical knowledge and skills related to common data center security infrastructures, Unix/Windows systems administration, and data collection and monitoring technologies and processes.
  • Familiarity with how to develop test plans, document change control proposals, and deploy configuration changes via Git, Jenkins, Ansible, and other workflow orchestration tools.
  • Experience writing regular expressions and scripting is highly desirable.
  • Experience using Cribl.io is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with Jira and Confluence or similar workflow management tools.
  • Knowledge of regular expressions and shell scripting.
  • Working experience with AWS cloud infrastructures.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills.
  • CISSP and Splunk vendor certifications.
