Job Location: Chennai
You ll provide the leadership to help our data governance team in laying a strong foundation for data architecture and ensure data is trusted, easy to find and consume. You will drive the data architecture practice and best processes, operating model for the same. You will work with various cross-functional teams driving strong business outcomes. You ll partner with your internal clients, stakeholders, and vendor partners to deliver these outcomes. You will lead a high-skilled team of architects and SMEs with strong analytical and technical skills and will be expected to lead by example, challenging the status quo and constantly seek opportunities for improvisation.
Proactively driving, planning, and executing the vision with the leadership team for best data architecture designs and processes to ensure data is trusted, available and protected and all data governance tools integrations are enabled by design and also data is cataloged, mastered and is of quality. You will be driving data architecture in a complex hybrid data landscape including Data Warehouse/Data Lake/Real-time streams on premise and cloud and also multiple business applications.
- Building a high-quality Data Architecture COE team and continue to drive scalable solutions.
- Ensuring the team adheres to the standard methodologies on data governance practices.
- Seeking and Driving opportunities to continuously enhance existing processes.
- Building cross-functional relationships with other teams like Data Science, Data Engineering, Business Enablement, and Business teams to understand their data cataloging needs and ensure adoption of the same across the teams and systems.
- Designing, building, and launching new data governance solutions and best practices.
- Developing innovative strategies.
- Managing a highly skilled team to deliver strong outcomes in a timely manner.
What we re looking for…
Youll need to have:
- Bachelor s degree or more years of four or more years of work experience.
- Experience in data modeling and architecture, solution architecture and building Data Products
- Experience managing a large data ecosystem.
- Two or more years of experience in Stakeholder and vendor management.
- Two or more years of experience in people management, planning.
- Experience driving and managing highly skilled data and solution architects.
- Experience with cross-team collaboration, interpersonal skills/relationship building, and management.
Even better if you have:
- Six or more years of relevant work experience.
- Bachelor s degree/Masters degree with Twelve years of relevant work experience.
- Eight or more years of relevant work experience in the Data Architecture and big data domain with strong working knowledge of data architecture, data fabric, data virtualization, data analytics, data engineering, cloud and big data solutions and practices. Also conceptual knowledge of big data, cloud, Teradata, and other data management technologies.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Understanding of Telecom domain.
- Designed an operating model that fosters reuse and sharing of Reusable assets.
- Experience presenting to and influencing functional leaders and stakeholders.
- Experience of working on big data governance projects.
- Experience in managing/setting up data catalog enterprise-level practice and solutions.
- Experience working on and delivering large programs.
