Visa Corporate IT (CIT) group has embarked on a major transformation journey. We are transforming ourselves into a true engineering organization where we put customer experience and end user support first. As part of this strategy, we are consolidating several of our Operational functions into a single area focused on providing world-class operational support to our End users. Visa’s Engineering, Applications and Analytics team is looking for curious, creative, and technology experts to join our growing team. We focus on delivering and supporting integrated platforms that enables Visa’s finance applications, which are used by Visa business partners to service Visa clients globally. We also develop analytics and reporting by using revenue data.
The successful candidate is expected to be expert in platform deployed on linux systems. The selected candidate will be fully responsible for both service delivery and operational excellence of services built using Hadoop technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for understanding requirements, coming up with architecture, design, involved in development, deployment, and on-going enhancements.
- Design and develop mission-critical systems, delivering high-availability and performance.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams Dev/Ops/Product Management/Architect.
- Participate in architecture discussions and design solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, setting up bests practices for coding and development.
- Mentor junior team members and train them on technologies and tools.
- Create technical documentation for all new or modified processes.
- Support DevOps in deployment and troubleshooting production issues.
- BS/MS or equivalent with at least 10+ years’ experience.
- At least 5+ years of hands-on experience building bigdata integration
- Pipelines using Spark, HDFS, Hive & MapReduce.
- At least 5+ years of hands-on experience in object oriented programming languages such as Java (or equivalent ).
- Expertise on database concepts and SQL.
- Strong knowledge of systems architecture, data structures and design patterns.
- Hands-on experience with Unix & Scripting.
- Result oriented with strong analytical and problem solving skills.
