We at visa are building Open Source Hadoop Echo system. We are looking for candidates with skills as below.
- As a Senior Consultant Data Engineer you will be building platforms on the big data Tech Stacks.
- Scale the platform to 10X, 100X at Enterprise level with right operability, Monitoring, DR capabilities.
- Apply the appropriate software engineering patterns to build highly scalable, available and resilient multi-tenant Platforms that can host large scale and highly critical applications.
- Builds strong commitment within the team to support the appropriate team priorities
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
- Actively participate in all phases of software development lifecycle: analysis, technical design, planning, development.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs.
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline. With 6 or more years of software experience in building large scale Frameworks.
- Experience in contributing into any of the Open Source Big Data Technologies
- Experience in building Enterprise scale Platforms with Strong Distributed systems knowledge.
- Ability to design and build end-to-end of the problem statement.
- 6 years of experience in development of platforms or applications at high scale.
- Good knowledge on Distributed Systems.
- Proficiency in engineering practices and writing high quality code, with expertise in either one of Java, Python, groovy etc
