What We Do
Visible Alpha enhances the investment research process by extracting meaningful analyst models, and research reports through valuable partnerships with the world’s premier investment research organizations. Our deep consensus data provides financial recommendations on companies and industries at a level of granularity and timeliness and that has never before been possible.
What Youll Do
- You will be working as an individual contributor within the research & innovation group.
- You will work with wide variety of Visible Alpha’s commercial as well as operational datasets on both internal and client-facing projects.
- You should have significant working knowledge of MySQL.
- You will partner with stakeholders across the organization, understand data requests, look across tools to identify the best sources, and write effective queries to compile datasets on demand.
- You will constantly communicate findings to diverse audiences and gather feedback.
- Experience presenting data analysis through visualizations and dashboards is a big plus.
- Prior experience working in a data science/analytics/engineering team.
- Experience with PyData stack in Python (e.g., Pandas, Numpy, Scipy) is preferred.
- Data visualization experience using BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Redash, Metabase, etc.) or exposure to data visualization in Python (e.g., Matplotlib, Seaborn, etc.) are preferred.
- Familiarity with financial datasets, equities market, and fundamental research is a plus.
