Job Description: As a part of the Global License Management team, the Reconciliation Analyst will focus primarily on the preparation of Software licenses and Support reconciliations. These reconciliations compare customers’ license deployments to their software and support entitlements. This is a mission-critical role where the quality and accuracy of deliverables is of paramount importance. Reconciliation reports are customer facing and relied upon as the final official record of a review. We are looking for someone with a diverse combination of technical and business skills that include: process development, data analysis, technical research, data quality activities, KPI and report development. This dynamic role is also responsible for supporting the extended team in all aspects of software license reviews. Acute attention to detail, flexibility and exceptional problem solving and organizational skills are required. Desire and ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment are required to succeed in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build Deployment Reconciliation reports by reconciling validated deployment reports against VMware entitlements
- Develop comprehensive reconciliations across multiple entities and geographies based on a detailed understanding of VMware licensing terms and conditions
- Prepare pricing matrices to quantify any license and/or support findings from reconciliation reports
- Prioritize and juggle multiple concurrent reconciliation requests from the global team, while keeping high quality and accurate work product.
- Communicate with international audit teams and VMware Engagement Managers via various communication methods to understand changes and new requests. Finalize updated reconciliations while minimizing turnaround time, ensuring timely delivery of completed reconciliations
- Analyze large sets of disparate data related to software installation and license entitlement.
- Detailed understanding of a broad range of Hardware, Software, and Configuration operating models
- Take up ad-hoc projects as necessary
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, or Information Systems is required
- 4+ years of experience as a Software Asset Manager, Software License Auditor, SaaS compliance, or related field is required
- Experience working with software inventory discovery data and license entitlement data
- Experience interpreting complex legal, financial, and technical software licensing terms and conditions and contracts
- Experience working with VMW products and offerings is a plus.
- Good written and verbal communication skills required
- Proficiency using Excel, PowerPoint, Word and SharePoint is required. Intuit Quickbase, SFDC and Oracle skills are considered a plus
