The WW Sales Management Support is part of the WW Sales Strategy and Acceleration team. This team enables Sales & WW Sales Strategy & Acceleration Ops teams to deliver on transformative outcomes by supporting them through best-in-class operational execution.
You will be the trusted business partner for Operations and liaise with various teams like Sales Operations, Renewals Sales Deal Management to solution operational challenges and drive friction less execution and experiences.
Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?
- Within 30 days of employment familiarise with E2E quoting processes and integrations with Opportunity Management and forecasting processes. Establish relationships with your stakeholders to get outside-in perspectives on challenges that need attention and priority.
- Within 90 days of employment work closely with Field and Renewals Sales teams to identify processes, practices and governance that needs to be established to drive scale across E2E quoting and deal progressions across M&A and SaaS businesses.
- Within 180 days gain hands on experiences from working on complex deals on M&A and SaaS processes to be able to better understand our operational execution capabilities as well as how VMware executes deals and what we offer to our customers. Rationalise the inputs from cross functional teams and shape the processes and business practices to deliver scale and ease of doing business
- Within 12 months become the trusted advisors to the operational teams on long term and short term requirements by strategically evaluating and solutioning process capability gaps. Be able to influence multiple stakeholders and drive transformational changes in a highly consensus driven culture.
The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?
- Understand the intricate details of the end to end renewals sales operational processes across opportunity management, quoting and bookings
- Identify pain points experienced with current fragmented process and tools. Create a roadmap for process optimization and prioritise incremental improvements to deliver scale and stability.
- Drive policy governance on quote related processes and execution to accomplish meaningful business impacts and outcomes
- Efficient and Effective in rationalizing change requests and prioritization of requirements
- Able to translate business issues, pain points into business requirements that can be easily understood, developed and delivered
- Develop and measure standard metrics to ensure process effectiveness and efficiency are resulting in reduced cycle time, improved accuracy and frictionless experiences for our stakeholders and customers.
- Empower operational teams by leveraging data to support recommendation on improving process capabilities and measure success based on data driven results
- Able to translate business issues, pain points into business requirements that can be easily understood, developed and delivered
