What’s the opportunity?
Reporting to the Data Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for the development and support of existing Vocus Enterprise Data warehouse and its BI toolsets. This is a hands-on role which will require ongoing use of SQL Database and OLAP technologies to support the design, build and enhancement of reports and data visualization.
The day to day
- Data analysis, data modelling, data integration, data warehousing and database design
- Supporting and maintenance of the BI/DW environments including ETL, stored procedures, technical design, technical architecture
- Design and develop ETL data transformation and data management processes using SSIS
- Design and develop SSAS Cubes
- Design and Develop PowerBI Dashboards and reports
- Data Modelling using Kimball data modelling principles
- Work with business to gather and analyse business and technical requirements
- Technical and support documentation (including technical specification, support manual and change management)
- Full Lifecycle solution delivery, from concept, prototyping all the way through to production

What you will bring to the table
- Knowledge of databases, database design, & BI technologies (especially PowerBI)
- Demonstrated experience in MS BI Stack (SSIS, SSAS & SSRS)
- Experience with BI Tools such as PowerBI
- Ability to communicate with all levels of business and explain technology in business terms
- Strong problem solving, analytical skills and attention to detail
- Broad knowledge of software development technologies, structured and unstructured data stores and associated technologies
- Knowledge of SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, BigData, SSIS, PowerBI, Google Cloud Platform
- Previous Telco experience is a bonus
