Job Summary:
United Auto Credit Corporation (UACC), a wholly-owned indirect subsidiary of Vroom, is seeking a Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst who will be an active contributor in UACC’s SDLC and responsible for ensuring the delivery of high quality/defect-free software applications. This role is expected to lead and assist the overall testing efforts as well as ensuring appropriate processes, methods, and tools are utilized in support of the functional and quality requirements of the organization. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of relevant QA/product development experience in a technical environment, ability to automate and streamline QA processes, and have excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:

Automating test cases where applicable via Postman, SoapUI
or similar API tool. - Understand, gather, and analyze requirements in a timely fashion.
- Compose high-level test plans for projects.
- Write detailed test cases covering all possible scenarios.
- Provide time estimates prior to execution of test cases.
- Coordinate and communicate with offshore QA teams.
- Defect/testing results documentation and tracking within JIRA.
- Production support as identified.
- Occasional after-hours work in support of code-releases and coordination with offshore resources.
- Prioritize the projects, timeline, and deliverables.
- Work with multiple teams and departments to better understand the products, processes, and business model with respect to the applications.
- Attend, provide updates, and otherwise actively participate in all Scrum stand ups and other team meetings.
- Gathering and organizing test data from a database.
- Finding defects in software.
- Troubleshooting and problem solving.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in QA or Software development, with an emphasis on functional, regression, integration, and automation testing.
- Experience with JIRA as a defect management and tracking tool.
- Experience in testing web based applications, Testing for cross -platform and cross browser compatibility.
- Familiar with test automation.
- Basic understanding of a software language (Python, JS, Java).
- Familiar with MS SQL and writing queries.
- Experience in testing APIs using Postman or SoapUI.
- Excellent understanding of the SDLC life cycle.
- Familiar with Agile methodologies.
- A team player with excellent communication skills.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving capability.
- Great attention to detail and time-management skills.
- Browser Stack experience is a plus.
- Financial industry experience is a plus.
