GLIDER ASSESSMENT REQUIRED “Enterprise Salesforce Solution BSA”

Required prior experience working on System Integration and Data Migration related projects.

This position requires skills in both integrations and data migration / ETL. The ideal candidate will have strong customer acumen, as well as in depth knowledge of system integration and data migration.

This job supports one or more analytical aspects of the application product life cycle, within a sub-product scope (one or more application components). Uses regular judgement and discretion to collaborate with customers in order to: Understand capability needs; Gather project specifications; elicit business requirements and translate into functional specifications, Create business cases and cost sheet analysis; Translate high-level business needs into detailed requirements for new capabilities (and change request/enhancements on existing capabilities); Analyze data to determine business problems, trends, or opportunities for process improvements; Create/execute test cases; Identifies business issues, collects and records data, analyzes data, and evaluates and presents solutions. Provide root cause analysis and corrective action plans; Verify delivery of customer needs and ensures quality delivery. The incumbent identifies, documents, and resolves risks, defects and issues. Analyzes market trends for competitive insight to correlate into business value statements. Builds organizational and platform knowledge in one or more disciplines to advance professional track career. Uses functional and organizational knowledge to mentor junior resources. Requires thorough understanding of end systems impact of changes across multiple systems.

Other Responsibilities: Plan, evaluate, oversee, and configure the integration of technological systems. Ensure that all current and future systems are working together efficiently, both among internal departments and with external networks. Develop strategic plans and action steps to deploy them. May supervise the installation and setup of new systems or advise on the modification of existing ones. Provide recommendations on tactics to improve the integration of current and future tools and systems.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide oversight for projects in which support analysts are involved.

• Assist software development personnel with the investigation and resolution of issues.

• Perform data analysis of input, internal, and output message data.

• Analyzes data from disparate data sources – create mapping specifications for use by ETL development resources.

• Recognize common requirements and document re-usable procedures to be utilized by development team to improve team’s efficiency and productivity.

• Collaborate with developers and data owners to drive creation of data integration and storage solutions as well as analyze tradeoffs between usability, best practices and performance needs.

• Collaborate with appropriate parties to determine best approach for supporting optimal data utilization.

• Work with customers, Software Engineers, Architects, Capability Managers, and other team members to capture capability needs and drive quality business solutions. Create and maintain deliverables such as business vision, requirements and personalization to different clients, and user interface design.

• Participate in the full software development life cycle by actively participating on Agile scrum teams in various roles, including, but not limited to, Scrum Master, Business Technical Analyst, User Interface designer, Capability Manager, or Tester, based upon experience and need.

• Support various aspects of requirements testing (e.g. testing plan, scenarios, documentation, defect management) to ensure minimal production defects are realized and completing analysis of the results tying back to customer impacts.

• Ensure compliance for required standards and all necessary approvals have been obtained throughout the project lifecycle.

• Effectively communicate with team members, customers, partners and management, all project stakeholders including assisting with or conducting requirement walkthroughs and sprint reviews, reporting project status, enabling vendor solutions and providing accurate and concise documentation.

• Ensure compliance with Data Security mandates

• Attend data conversion meetings, review products, ensure all data anomalies are addressed before migration to the new system and that reconciliation between systems, ledgers, etc. are completed.

• Support the Data Management lead in the oversight and review of all data management plans and artifacts.

• Review Component legacy system data and ensure an accurate understanding of the data elements, structures, and quality is recorded.

• Setup staging environments for data cleansing and conversion activities.

• Assist Components in preparing for migration of legacy data into a new integrated financial, procurement, and asset management system such as executing mock data conversions and cutover activities.

• Support Departmental and Component level Business Intelligence (BI) and Data Warehouse (DW) efforts in conjunction with third-party BI/DW offerings.

• Participate in data migration from legacy systems to SaaS system.

• Analyze data and data models in collaboration with developers.

• Participate in database design with the technical team as needed.

• Facilitate client-facing requirement confirmation and design work sessions.

• Create use case, supplemental specification, and interface specification documents.

• Design system screen layouts.

• Prepare test cases for system testing and user acceptance testing.

• Conduct integration testing and system testing.

• Write SQL queries in Microsoft SQL Server to procure test data, and perform database testing using SQL queries.

• Prepare documentation for system end users and technical system operation manuals.

• Provide required support for the technical team.

• Work with limited supervision and against tight deadlines.

• Prepare technical specifications and documentation for Alteryx workflows supporting BI reports

• Perform end to end Data validation

Required Skills:

• 2 – 6 years of professional experience working in a Business Analyst role for the design, development, and implementation of large-scale solutions.

• Experience with data migration projects preferably(Salesforce, Contract lifecycle management(CLM) etc.)

• Ability to produce detailed data mapping documents.

• Detail-oriented drive to investigate and dissect information with a strong focus on data quality.

• Experience evaluating business requirements and working with subject matter experts (SME) and technical analysts (TA) to translate into a functional design.

• Proven ability to develop task plans, manage time effectively across simultaneous project activities, and meet target deadlines.

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in ETL tools preferably Alteryx (Alteryx Designer, Alteryx Server, and the tools with Alteryx such as Predictive, Parsing, and Transforms) or similar ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend Pentaho data extraction and manipulation tools.

• 4+ years writing SQL queries against any RDBMS with query optimization.

• Strong analytical, problem solving, and troubleshooting abilities

• Good understanding of unit testing, software change management, and software release management

• Good understanding the star schema and data models in the existing data warehouse.

• Drives assigned tasks to completion within target deadlines.

• Approaches tasks in an analytical manner and focuses on defining a solution to the root need of the task.

• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) to clearly articulate technical solutions to non-technical staff.

• Experience in facilitating meetings and presenting to technical and non-technical staff.

• A collaborative mindset with the ability to work in team environment, but also self-motivated to produce results with minimal direction.

• Ability to form working relationships with groups of people from varied backgrounds, experience, and education levels.
