POSITION SUMMARY
This is a fun and fast-paced position that plays an integral role in the insights we deliver that move and shape the business. The Sr. Analyst, Business and Customer Analytics will perform data mining, conduct analysis, assess findings, and report results with the goal of providing actionable information to our Sales, Marketing, Operations/Supply Chain teams, and internal leadership.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Synthesize data, uncover insights and create compelling data visualizations from multiple sources to tell a story and influence business decisions.
- Maintain and enhance financial models, driving improvements to budgeting and forecasting accuracy.
- Perform detailed analysis on financial information.
- Design and deliver ongoing and ad-hoc reporting to drive comprehensive insights covering all financial, commercial, and operational metrics.
- Gather qualitative and quantitative feedback leveraging data to provide innovative solutions that balance operational and business needs.
- Effectively communicate business and technical information across the organization.
- Support the production of reporting materials for C-Suite and Board of Directors including monthly and quarterly financial packages.
- Confidently present analysis, learnings, and recommendations to Senior Leadership.
- Synthesize industry intelligence to drive actionable insights.
- Assist with ad-hoc projects and analysis as required by leadership teams.
QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, & Skills required)
- BA required; analytical degree preferred (e.g., Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering).
- 2 to 5 years of experience in analytics, finance, data science, or other relevant field.
- Highly versed in applications software including advanced Excel and strong understanding of databases and writing custom SQL. Familiarity with PowerBI a plus. Strong understanding of PowerPoint.
- Critical and strategic thinking, with the ability to synthesize data and financial analysis to help shape business decisions.
- Advanced analytical and quantitative skills to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, evaluate the hypothesis and complete root cause analysis of the business problem.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
