MarketPlace is the gateway to Third-Party sellers, we enable them to manage their catalog, order fulfillment, return & refund management. We are the interface to all Third-Party sellers @Walmart.
Position Description:

- Drive design, development, implementation, and documentation
- Build, test and deploy cutting edge solutions at scale, impacting associates of Walmart

- Drive the success of the implementation by applying technical skills, to design and build enhanced processes and technical solutions in support of strategic initiatives.
- Work closely with the cross-functional teams and follow established practices for the delivery of solutions meeting QCD (Quality, Cost & Delivery). Within the established architectural guidelines.
- Invent the next generation of Marketplace , integrated experiences that leverage that leverage Core Walmart services and provides seamless experience to Customers.
- Lead product. development for the next generation of challenges, including very high capacity, guaranteed availability, and mass market usability without compromising the quality.
- Design & code high performance and scalable solutions that meet the needs of millions of Walmart customers and Marketplace Sellers and wins the delight of both.
- Interact with Walmart engineering teams across geographies to leverage expertise and contribute to the tech community.
- Engage with Product Management and Business to drive the agenda, set your priorities and deliver awesome products.
- Design, code, build and deploying highly scalable and robust cloud based intelligent solutions.
- Participate in managing code & configurations for multiple environments, release management process, creating and maintaining environment configuration and controls, code integrity and work closely with stakeholders
- Analyzing business requirements, story-boards and similar artifacts of the scrum process, work in an agile development environment with a quick turnaround time and iterative builds.
- Leads the discovery phase of medium to large projects to come up with high level design work with peer engineers on delivering high quality software
- Troubleshoots business and production issues
- Ensures inclusion of business vision and industry trends to enable results that drive business
- Problem solving and troubleshooting design and development issues and provide appropriate solutions
- Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, with technical and non-technical cross-functional teams
- Provide guidance and mentorship to the junior engineers
- A desire to work in a fast-paced and challenging work environment
Qualification
- Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related field with 10 to 16 yrs. of experience building scalable eCommerce applications
- Experience with Java, Multithreading, Data Structures, Algorithm, Design Patterns and develop robust high-performance and scalable applications
- 5 or more years of experience programming in Core Java, Spring Boot, Go Lang, REST services.
- Expertise on Streaming stacks and Mutliple NoSQL DBs.
- Strong understanding and strategies to handle Consistency and Availability for Distributed systems.
- Strong computer science fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, data stores, operating systems, etc.
- Expertise in SaaS application development.
- Good knowledge of High-performance Stream processing, Large Scale Messaging Systems
- Hands on in Architecting and developing large scale distributed systems applications with experience in Real time Transactional Systems.
- Good exposure to REST, Messaging (KAFKA, RABBITMQ, etc.), stream processing (SPARK, STORM etc.), Large storage systems (RDBMS, NO SQL Stores like Cassandra, HBase, REDIS, etc.)
- Experience in building frontend applications with modern JavaScript frameworks.
- Solid Experience in developing scalable Event driven applications.
- Exposure to Payment Solutions and added Advantage.
