Combining Technologists with Business Analysts and data experts, we build and deploy solutions that support billions of transactions every month Roles Responsibilites Understands, articulates, Interprets and applies the principles of the defined strategy to unique and complex business problems. Proficient in grasping the business value and relevance of data and data-enabled insightsdecisions Creating a scaled and optimized data model to cater to very specificbusiness use case , keeping in my the technology aspects of the upstream and downstream Knowledge of how data should be organized, connected, accessed, and processed. Responsible for marrying every data element in the storage to a business meaning . Actively documenting the discovery and observations that would influence various data strategies, technical designs, and product solutions. Collaborative team player that interacts with Product owners, BAs, end-user champions and various other SPOCS. Helps to identify and understand the most suitable source of data that is fit for the purpose. Translates business requirements into tasks that are associated with current job responsibilities. In-depth knowledge in data governance, metadata management and master data management. Performs Impact analysis upon business process changes or metadata changes. Closely interact with Data Engineers from within Walmart to identify right open source tools to deliver product features by performing research, POCPilot. Experience building and optimizing big data data pipelines, architectures and data sets involving petabyte and terabyte of data. Experience performing root cause analysis on data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement. Skills needed Practical experience in cloud strategy, data warehousing, enterprise data management and big data platforms. Expertise in convertingcomplextransformational logic in SQL or NO-SQL language. Usage of Data modeling tools such as Erwin. Basic understanding of APIs and Crawlers. Proficient in load strategies such as streaming, batch processing, etc and ETL techniques Experience in interacting with end-users and understanding the users data consumptions, data needs and business implications. Has experience in working with upstream and downstream and co-ordinated various deliverables. Been responsible of documentation that help in data mapping, rules for data quality, drives data strategy etc. Expertise in Big Data Ecosystem with experience in Hadoop, Hive, Spark Knowledge of Java, Scala, Python is a must Cloud exposure of GCP, Azure, GCP is an added advantage Expertise in MPP architecture and knowledge of MPP engine Spark, Impala etc. Data pipelineworkflow management tools such as Airflow Cloud Development experience Experience in building scalablehighly available distributed systems in production. Understanding of stream processing with knowledge on Kafka. Knowledge of Software Engineering best practices with experience on implementing CICD, Log aggregationMonitoringalerting for production system.
