The Supply Chain Transformation Department engages internal partners in the strategic development and planning of world-class supply chain practices.
The Senior Manager of Walt Disney World Food & Beverage Business Insights and Analytics will lead a team of analytical professionals, data scientists and engineers to tell compelling stories and guide strategic decisions. The Senior Manager will provide a vision for how the team organizes and manages data, develops dashboards and metrics, advances technology and systems, and partners with the organization to take action based on the insight. You will report to the Director of Supply Chain Transformation.
You Will:
- Lead Manager(s), and a team of Analysts and Data Scientists/Engineers
- Ensure overall accuracy and provide guidance to team members on mining multiple sources of data, query techniques, data cleaning and validation
- Direct team to create efficient data pipelines and engineered data sets that can be used to solve business questions and highlight opportunities
- Identify opportunities, develop a plan and deliver insights to educate and influence our decisions
- Support the team in translating complicated information into simple data visualizations and a clear summary of relevant insights for partners, operations, and executives
- Benchmark others in the industry to challenge the norms of what we do today
- Participate in strategic meetings with all levels of leadership to advise and collaborate on solutions to challenges
You Have:
- Independence, communication, technical and analytical skills
- Business acumen and technical expertise to understand the needs and be able to communicate to the team what data, tools and analytics are needed
- Relationship skills to ensure partners are aligned, engaged and supportive of changes to the business
- Experience telling a business relevant story with analytics to a non-technical audience
- Expert knowledge in data visualization and proficiency using Tableau, Microstrategy, Power BI, Business Objects, or equivalent tools to create scorecards, dashboards, reports
- Expert Knowledge and proficiency writing in SQL using Teradata, Snowflake, Business Objects, Microstrategy or similar tools
- Experience with data warehouse platforms (snowflake) and creation of reporting layers and curated tables
- Experience with Statistical or Data Science languages such as R, SAS, Python
- 10+ years’ experience in a Large Enterprise Level Data Warehouse, Business Intelligence and Reporting Team, Management/Engineering Consulting or Business Analyst role with experience developing solutions at the executive level
- 5+ years leading teams of salaried individuals
Experience working with Food and Beverage data
Education:
BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Math, Statistics, related education or equivalent work experience; An MBA is preferred.
