We are part of Core Streaming products group for Direct-2-Consumer business and responsible for Content Discovery through Search capabilities for HBO Max and Discovery Plus platforms. Our Search & Knowledge Graph teams. Mission of our Search & KG team is to provide a delightful targeted and differential search experience to our ~ 100 Million global user base. We are hiring a Data Science Analyst for our Data Science Team. We are looking for a passionate and customer obsessed data science analyst to join our growing team.
- Work with managers and business stakeholders to fully understand business requirements and the desired outcomes of their science and analytics needs.
- Build relationships with product and machine learning stakeholders to understand and advance their data needs in a holistic manner across multiple projects.
- Implement data structures that help WBD leadership make high-value business decisions. Visualize the team’s findings for senior management using tools such as Tableau.
- Extract, clean, and map data from multiple sources into cohesive analysis and reports.
- Perform exploratory and predictive analysis with SQL, Python, R
- Create and update comprehensive documentation on workflows, pipelines, and other data processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics or related field and 5 years experience as a data analyst, data engineer, data scientist or related position
- Proficiency in SQL and hands-on experience with relational databases is a must
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau and Looker
- 1+ year of experience with the following is preferred:
- Amazon Web Services or similar cloud computing platform;
- Project management;
- Linux based command lines;
- Script execution;
- Tableau, Looker;
- SQL
- Python or R
- A desire to learn new programming languages, frameworks, and techniques both personally and on the job.
- Genuine interest in the rapidly changing media industry.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
