THE MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES As a Data Analyst in our North America Operations organization, the Intern will work collaboratively with our operations support team to conduct exploratory analytics to identify business opportunities within NAO. Tasks during the 10 weeks will focus on data analytics research to drive efficiencies for the organization. Data Analyst interns will have the potential to learn existing operation support processes to identify problems within operations and implement improvement. Other tasks may include:
- Find how to enhance reports
- Create solutions for improvement for existing issues
- Broaden team ability based on data research
- Conduct intake projects
- Experiment with new technologies specifically to data analytics WHAT WE LOOK FOR IN A CANDIDATE Education Requirements
- Enrolled at a 4-year accredited college or university, rising senior or master’s level education status at the start of the internship, graduating August 2023 – May 2024.
- Major/Degree: In pursuit of degree in Data Science/Analytics, Computer Science, MIS Major, Engineering, Statistics, STEM, and other related fields Proficiency and understanding of:
- Oracle SQL
- Python
- Coding experience
- Microsoft Office
- Any Power BI, Power Automate, Power Flows experience is a plus Professional Attributes
- Strong drive for results and taking initiative
- Ability to self regulate and deliver tasks with exceptional quality
- Ability to be resourceful, independent, and adaptable
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Creative minded with drive to create new solutions
- Driven to grow and learn new things to improve self
- Desire to innovate and push new ideas to fruition
- Ability to work independently and in a team Work Setting
- Ideally the position will be in one of the following offices: Broomfield -CO, or Remote- Work From Home
- Intern must be able to work 30-40 hours be week during the 10-week program (June – August)
- Intern must have reliable transportation to/from work location (Lumen does not provide transportation to/from Lumen office locations)
- Intern MUST have reliable internet access and a private work space if working from home/remote WHAT TO EXPECT NEXT After completion and submission of your application, you will be asked to participate in a virtual video interview.
