About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Business Execution Consultant to join the AI Strategy and Governance team within the Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning Center of Excellence (AI/ML CoE). The AI/ML CoE is a centralized team within Data Management and Insights (DMI) and provides model development and AI platform services across Wells Fargo. We are looking for an experienced leader to take full ownership of the Process and Governance initiative portfolio. This role will lead the end to end lifecycle of process development and improvement across the CoE as well as ensuring that such activities are executed in alignment with all applicable policies and risk/control objectives. The selected individual will drive engagement and work cross-functionally with stakeholders including but not limited to CoE leadership, Audit, Control, Data Governance, Model Governance as well as Business and Technology.

In this role, you will:

  • Own the CoE Process/Governance portfolio
  • Lead initiatives related to issue management and remediation, working with Control and 2nd/3rd line oversight teams
  • Stand up new processes and procedures supporting new domains including Data Governance, Code Management, Data Hygiene, and other CoE functions
  • Serve as policy SME for Model Risk Management, Data, and other enterprise risk domains
  • Conduct oversight of process and control execution
  • Be the CoE point of contact for model governance, Audit, and related oversight teams
  • Lead and mentor junior resources

In this role, you will also:

  • Act as a Business Execution advisor to leadership to drive performance and initiatives, and develop and implement information delivery or presentations to key stakeholders and senior management
  • Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges related to Business Execution that require solid analytical skills, extensive knowledge of Business Execution, and understanding of business, delivering longer term and large scale solutions
  • Provide vision, direction, and expertise to senior leadership for implementing innovative and significant business solutions that are large scale and cross organizational
  • Lead team meetings or steering committee to facilitate decision making and support implementation of recommendations and plans
  • Strategically engage with all levels of professionals and managers across multiple lines of businesses and serve as an experienced advisor to the leadership
  • Provide direction to a cross functional team using business expertise

Required Qualifications, US:

  • 7+ years of Management Consulting, Strategy Consulting, or Business Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Process/governance experience
  • Model Risk Management Experience
  • AI/ML Experience
  • Control design experience
  • Experience with risk management, compliance, and audit in highly regulated industries. Financial industry experience preferred
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and interpersonal) with ability to articulate complex material to a diverse audience
  • Strong facilitation skills including ability to lead, present, and obtain buy in from large stakeholder groups spanning staff through senior and executive management

Job Expectations:

  • 5% travel may be required
