About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking an Analytics Consultant role with the Conflict of Interest Analytics team within Conduct Analytics and Reporting. The Conflict of Interest Analytics team is responsible for delivering the analytics that drive decision strategies for an area with significant reputational risk and enterprise-wide impact requiring significant technical complexity in the analytics. This Leader will use their knowledge of data and analytics to provide insights regarding conflicts of interest at Wells Fargo to senior leaders and the Board of Directors.

In this role you will:

  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining insightful analytics, reporting and BI dashboards that clearly and succinctly identifies conflicts of interest risks and the details behind the risks including root causes
  • Responsible for consulting with partners to identify and define business requirements and translate business needs into complex analysis designs and recommendations
  • Sourcing data from across disparate systems
  • Establishes controls, procedures, operating models as necessary to ensure a well-documented, high-quality work product. Ensures adherence to data management and governance regulations and policies.
  • Advise and influence leadership on analytical strategies, and advanced data visualization for complex business and technical needs
  • Engage with peers, risk, compliance, managers across the enterprise, and serve as an expert advisor to leadership team

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 1+ years of experience using BI analytical tools, such as Tableau or Power BI, including creating visualizations, descriptive analytics, and statistical modeling areas.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Robust understanding of various data and analytic environments such as Teradata, Oracle, SAS, Python, etc.
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong knowledge of Conduct Management and Conflict of Interest policies and systems
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to translate and present complex data in a manner that educates, enhances understanding, and influence decisions
  • Experience using the Quality Control Process using several different platforms
  • Ability to create executive summaries and interact with senior leaders
  • Strong background and working knowledge in Applied Mathematics
  • Experience delivering insights through reporting

Responsible for consulting with partners to identify and define business requirements and translate business needs into complex analysis designs and recommendations. Identifies and recommends internal and external data sources, compiles and mines data from multiple, cross business sources; recommends and participates in the development of complex analysis designs using statistical and/or financial analysis, predictive modeling, process documentation, comparative analysis, customer and demographic analysis, etc.; interprets results and recommends solutions to increase revenue, reduce expense, maximize operational efficiency, quality, etc. Ensures adherence to data management and governance regulations and policies.

Data involved may be very large, structured or unstructured, and from multiple sources. To a certain degree, may assist indirectly in the technical build-out and/or support of databases, query tools, reporting tools, BI tools, dashboards, etc. that enable analysis, modeling, and/or data visualization. May manage project teams and provide guidance to less experienced team members.

The Conflict of Interest Analytic Consultant will use their knowledge of data and analytics to provide insights regarding the state of Conflict of interest at Wells Fargo to senior leaders and the Board of Directors.
