About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking an Analytics Consultant to support the recurring and ad hoc reporting analytic needs across our Commercial Real Estate (CRE) Portfolio Management team. Learn more about our career areas and lines of business at wellsfargojobs.com.

In this role, you will:

  • Prepare and provide regular reporting on the composition, credit quality and performance of CRE’s loan portfolio
  • Prepare analytics to support the optimization of CRE’s loan portfolio with respect to loan type, collateral composition, ROE/yield targets, capital usage and other strategic objectives
  • Support the quarterly and annual forecasting of loan balances and expected payoffs in partnership with sub-line of businesses (LOB) and Finance/Accounting partners
  • Manage CRE’s weekly loan pipeline reporting
  • Develop ad hoc reports and analyses on CRE’s loan portfolio in support of various stakeholders
  • Execute special projects to enhance the quality, consistency, and timeliness of CRE’s data and reporting
  • Understand compliance and risk management requirements for supported area
  • Ensure adherence to data management or data governance regulations and policies
  • Work with more experienced consultants or directly with partners
  • Partner with technology or with other business groups

There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications

  • Advanced Excel skills, including use of various functions and formulas
  • Commercial real estate finance and/or loan portfolio management experience
  • Ability to thoroughly analyze commercial real estate loan data to develop and deliver reports, recommendations and presentations to management
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate complex material to a diverse audience
  • Assist with project meetings, presentations and status reporting
  • Ability to consult, influence and partner with business executives and senior leadership
