About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Data Management Analyst to drive the data privacy strategy and compliance with the data management policy for the Consumer data domain. This role will provide a single point of contact to engage governance, business and technology resources and deliver compliance artifacts for cross sub-domain use cases. This role will define and execute data governance control monitoring and testing procedures to confirm compliance with enterprise Data Management Policy and Procedures. This role will also represent the Consumer risk appetite and business priorities to guide implementation activities within the Privacy Utility.

In this role, you will:

  • Act as an advisor to leadership to develop or influence objectives, plans, specifications, resources, and long-term goals for Consumer data governance and data privacy activities
  • Design and conduct complex analysis to identify and remediate data quality or integrity issues and to identify and remediate process or control gaps
  • Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring in-depth evaluation across multiple areas or the enterprise, delivering solutions that are long-term, large-scale and require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical and inductive thinking
  • Evaluate data quality metrics and data quality audits to benchmark the state of data quality
  • Provide vision, direction and expertise to leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions
  • Recommend remediation of process or control gaps that align to management strategy
  • Strategically engage with all levels of professionals and managers across the enterprise and serve as an expert advisor to leadership
  • Represent client in cross-functional groups to develop companywide data governance strategies
  • Partner with groups companywide to coordinate and drive collaboration on solution design and remediation execution
  • Analyze, assess, and test data controls and data systems to ensure quality and compliance standards are met
  • Define the Consumer Data Management compliance test plan
  • Identify data governance metrics and execute compliance testing to benchmark the state of data quality for the Consumer data domain.
  • Implement compliance controls and testing procedures including: Domain Governance, RAU Service mapping, Source Document to application reconciliation, Transaction testing /system reconciliations, and Transformation testing
  • Serve as point of contact for Cross Sub-Domain use cases to engage appropriate Data Domain Managers and Business Leaders to drive Data Management compliance
  • Coordinate delivery of end to end compliance artifacts for cross sub-domain use cases
  • Liase with DMI on policy and centralized tooling capabilities
  • Coordinate review/feedback for Data Management Policy/Procedure/Supplemental Guidance changes
  • Develop a strategic plan and roadmap for Consumer Data Privacy to address current and emerging data privacy regulations and enforcement actions in alignment with the Enterprise and Consumer risk appetite.

Required Qualifications, US:

  • 7+ years of Data Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • 5+ Years’ experience managing small/simple to large/complex initiatives from initiation through completion
  • 5+ Years’ experience creating and implementing strategic initiatives for group-wide business initiatives
  • Working knowledge in Data Management and Privacy regulations impacting Banking/Financial Institutions
  • Prior experience in Risk Management and Compliance
  • Honed communication skills with exceptional ability to negotiate and facilitate collaboration
  • Working knowledge of regulations impacting Consumer Lending and Consumer and Small Business Banking.
  • Subject matter expertise with strategic implementations for compliance with Privacy regulations.
  • Experience managing cross functional teams across multiple lines of business
  • Think and communicate strategically, and translate to actionable plans
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Word), Visio, Microsoft Project, and SharePoint
  • Execution oriented, professional demeanor, self-starter behavior and able to recognize opportunities for improvement in the business and to act on those opportunities
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment, lead through adversity, and adjust to changing priorities


Job Expectations:

  • Ability to travel up to 5% of the time
