About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Quantitative Analytics Manager within its Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Center of Excellence. The Data Science Relations Lead’s main goal is to empower our data science community to adopt and embrace innovative Artificial Intelligence Platforms leading to optimal business outcomes.

In this role, you will:

  • Be the public face of Data Science conferences, meetups, customer events
  • Increase awareness and evangelize the AI ML platforms
  • Produce the content (articles, blog posts, podcasts, webinars, open-source, etc.) about building models for our LOB’s and functions
  • Develop demo models and showcase our current and future platform capabilities
  • Lead conversations in the community about best practices in the field of low-code/no-code platforms
  • Bring together existing and new internal/external Data Scientists to our DSR ecosystem to build state-of-the-art ML/NLP models
  • Manage Data Science Hackathons and surface a content and code platform for DS to use
  • This resource will be responsible to manage the DS Advocate and DS Evangelist
  • Work very closely with DS Leads to help build an innovation lab for the select AI use cases
  • Work with the Platforms Experience Leads (PX) to ensure of the best user experience on current and future platforms


In this role, you will also:

  • Manage a team responsible for the creation and implementation of low to moderate complex financial areas
  • Mitigate operational risk and compute capital requirements
  • Determine scope and prioritization of work in consultation with experienced management
  • Participate in the development of strategy, policies, procedures, and organizational controls with model users, developers, validators and technology
  • Make decisions and resolve issues regarding operational risks and enable decision making in business, product, marketing or other functional areas
  • Manage a team comprised of quantitative analysts and credit risk analysts
  • Interact with internal and external audit or regulators
  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Quantitative Analytics
  • Mentor and guide talent development of direct reports and assist in hiring talent


Required Qualifications, US:

  • 4+ years of Quantitative Analytical experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 2+ years of leadership experience
  • Master’s degree or higher in a quantitative field such as mathematics, statistics, engineering, physics, or computer science
