This position will be supporting our iHub service with the Business Data Services team. iHub is an authorized provision point(APP) which standardizes common foundational data and distributes to downstream applications and reporting services. iHub provisions datasets in support of the firm’s regulatory submissions(eONE), LIBOR Transition, Asset/Liability Management, Enterprise Customer Complaints, CDD, Credit Risk & Operating Committee Reporting, and many other important functions. The iHub team provides data integration, data readiness, and data consultancy services. It is a team of commercial lending data SME’s that work with the various lending systems to standardize data and support the data. These positions will be primarily accountable for a number of systems of record and systems of origin ingested within iHub. These positions will own aspects of these systems and entails managing projects and day to day BAU activities.
This offshore senior resource is a Lead Role – will lead Data Mapping activities/Data Profiling in Commercial Distribution Finance space in support of eONE & other downstream deliverables.
The position will be expected to perform complex analysis of datasets to:
Compose source to target data mapping consisting of varying degrees of complexity based on new requirements received from onshore team Conduct data validation on their own mapping or mapping output of other Data Management Consultants. Ensure daily and monthly production data loads are loaded per schedules. Escalate when deadlines are missed and ensure a course of action is being taken immediately. Analyze production data issues and define root cause, e.g. mapping or data provider issues. Define what the issue is and provide onshore teams recommended course of action. Maintain their work by updating JIRA and Glimmer
Experience & Educational Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in Regulatory/Risk/Financial data handling & reporting
- 7+ years of experience in Financial Data Mapping & Modeling
- Competent qualification in Finance – MBA(Finance)/CA
- Competent qualification in Technology – B.Tech/B.E/ MCA
Skills & Experience Desired:
- Extensive knowledge and understanding/experience of research and analysis
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear manner
- Ability to work and influence successfully within a matrix environment and build effective business partnerships with all levels of team members
- Knowledge and understanding of data governance challenges and approaches: metadata, data quality, and data stewardship
- Ability to manipulate data from non-normalized or disparate data sources
- Clear understanding of DWH principles, Dimensional Data and Data Models/Schemas
- Lead Role Experience & Capability to lead Team from the front
- Ownership & Accountability for Delivery
Preferred:
- Experience in Commercial Lending Systems
- Knowledge & Implementation Experience in Oracle Financial Services Data Foundation (FSDF)
Technical Expertise:
- Good in SQL – Oracle & Teradata
- Knowledge of Big Data (Hadoop) Environment & experience in Hive/Spark
- Experience in handling Metadata using Data Management Tool
- Good Knowledge & Experience in JIRA or any Defect Management Tool
- Good Knowledge & Experience in Agile Project Management Tools
- MS Office suite
- Exposure to Data Visualization Tool like Tableau/Power BI is a plus
