About This Role
Wells Fargo is seeking a Quantitative Analytics Specialist within the Commercial Banking Model Development Center of Excellence. The Commercial Banking Model Development Center of Excellence is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing quantitative models including AI/ML to support Commercial Banking businesses as well as managing model risks.
The Quantitative Analytics Specialist role is responsible for building AL/ML models and conducting data analytics to support Commercial Capital business lines, Commercial Operations, and Treasury Management operations in the areas of revenue growth, customer acquisition, product penetration, customer retention and other business priorities. In This Role, You Will
- Develop, implement, and calibrate various analytical models
- Perform highly complex activities related to financial products, business analysis and modeling
- Perform basic statistical and mathematical models using Python, R, SAS, C++ and SQL
- Perform analytical support and provide insights regarding a wide array of business initiatives
- Provide solutions to business needs and analyze work flow processes to make recommendations for process improvement in risk management
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, managers and regulators to resolve issues and achieve goals
Required Qualifications, US:
- 2+ years of Quantitative Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Master’s degree or higher in statistics, mathematics, physics, engineering, computer science, economics, or quantitative field
Desired Qualifications:
- 2+ years of data and analytics experience in commercial banking such as middle market banking, treasury management, asset-based lending and leasing etc.
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Hands on familiarity with machine learning and statistical modeling techniques, such as Neural Networks, Random Forest, GBM, SVM, Logistic Regression, Deep Learning architectures, etc., using open-source languages like Python, PySpark, PyTorch
- Hands on experience with deep learning toolkits such as Tensorflow, Keras, PyTorch, Dynet
- Hands on experience with SAS and SQL utilizing large scale databases – Teradata, Oracle, etc.
- Hands on experience writing data processing and data pipeline for model development including gathering and building datasets to collect intents, joining and aggregating source datasets, cleaning messy data, designing feedback loop on data need
- Experience with model governance requirements. Able to de-mystify AI models to make them transparent and explainable
- Experience with agile project management methodologies for data science
- Experience with Big Data or Hadoop tools such as Spark, Hive, Kafka and Map
