Job Summary
WEX is seeking a self-driven and motivated professional to join their Human Resources Compensation team, as a Senior Compensation Analyst. The Senior Compensation Analyst would primarily be responsible for supporting the implementation and administration of compensation programs, providing analysis and recommendations regarding compensation planning, salary administration, job evaluation, external market pricing and analysis in the rapidly changing external technology and digital environments.
This role is flexible to be remote within the United States.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to:
- Provide compensation consultation to HR Business Partners and Business Leaders, including determining compensation for new and existing employees
- Coordinate the promotion program process for our technology and digital commerce divisions by developing compensation recommendations, preparing reports for review and approval and coordinating the communication
- Perform analysis of external benchmarking market survey results and prepare recommendations, reports and executive summaries
- Provide reports, analysis, clarification of policies and practices and interpretation of market intelligence to HR Business Partners and Business Leaders
- Partner with the Recruiting team by market pricing new roles and providing input into competitive compensation offers for new hires
- Complete ad hoc requests and analyses from HR Business Partners, Business Leaders and Compensation Manager
- Proactive advising on initiatives supporting achievement of growth targets, primarily through compensation solutions to address attraction, retention and engagement on a global scale
- Liaise with cross functional teams and engage in project management to ensure the successful delivery and completion of compensation-related projects
- Leverage available internal and external systems and tools (Workday, MarketPay, Comp Survey Data) to proactively identify client group trends and/or compensation analytics
- Play a key role in the compensation planning process including data/analytics, education, direct customer engagement
- Participate on cross-functional HR project teams as the business-aligned compensation subject matter expert
- Support the development of internal employee compensation communication, training and marketing materials as a subject matter expert. Job offer reviews and consultation (becoming increasingly complex due to market competitiveness and a need for creative solutioning)
- Advise on counteroffers, promotions, market adjustments, retention agreements, special incentives, and equity offers
- Support large scale reward & recognition projects or complex job offers – including RSUs/standard equity and/or cash components
- Provide compensation consultation on organizational design to achieve design outcomes
Qualifications
- Requires Bachelor’s degree
- 8+ years relevant experience in compensation / finance roles
- Strong attention to detail & focus on delivery of high quality results
- Strong analytical skills with ability to analyze & summarize data to effectively develop a business case and recommendations
- Experience administering compensation plans for technology
- Strong understanding of equity and compensation regulations and their implementation
- Advanced Excel skills, solid PowerPoint & Word skills, GSuite, Workday and Merrill Lynch knowledge a plus
- Able to build and maintain productive working relationships
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, complex environment
- Experience working for a publicly traded company is preferred
- Experience working in a technology or digital commerce industry is preferred
The base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Base pay is one component of WEX’s total compensation package. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan. Non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus based on their role and applicable plan. Salary Pay Range: $116,000.00 – $155,000.00
