Roles and Responsibilities
The MSBI, Power BI developer is responsible for building, implementing, and supporting Microsoft BI and Power BI solutions.
- The right individual will possess experience in all stages of MSBI project work (requirements and logical design, physical design, implementation, testing, and deployment).
- The MSBI Developer should have a firm grasp of BI implementation methodologies and will have had in-depth experience with the Microsoft BI Stack (SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS), Power BI
Desired Candidate Profile
- Proficient in design and developing MSBI tools
- Relational Database and SQL Language
- Extraction, Transformation, and Loading (ETL) (Microsoft SSIS)
- Data Warehouse / Solution Design
- Dimensional Modeling (Kimball Methodology)
- Analytics / OLAP Cube Development (Microsoft SSAS and MDX)
- Report Development (Microsoft SSRS)
- Dashboard, report development (Microsoft Power BI)
- Proficient in design and developing BI tools like Power BI
- Creating Interactive Dashboards by using filters and Parameters.
- Involving in admin activities like publishing, adding users, security, sharing, and deployment
- Creating different Visualizations using Bars, Lines, Pies, Maps, Scatter plots, Gantts, Bubbles Charts, etc.
- Extracting the data from multiple data sources through Data modeling.
- Integration with Hadoop, Big Data, SAP BW/HANA, etc.
- Interacting with business partners and customers for reporting needs and requirements.
- Interpret written business requirements and technical specification documents
- Knowledge of databases, warehouses, business intelligence systems, Hadoop, SQL, and data analysis tools
- Experience with defining solution architecture to meet project and enterprise platform requirements, including high availability, scalability, and security criteria
- Provide input on proposing, evaluating, and selecting appropriate design alternatives which meet client requirements and are consistent with the clients current standards and processes
- Create and maintain technical design documentation
- Perform quality coding to business and technical specifications
- Monitoring and maintenance of all components that make up the Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence infrastructure
- Act as an evangelist for BI benefits across the organization; promote BI usage to relevant departments
- Responsible for demonstrating software to internal users
