About Our Summer Internship Program
WW / WeightWatchers’ 11-week, paid summer internship program provides robust opportunities for learning and professional development, networking, engagement with our leadership team, full immersion into our mission-driven business and more. Who We Are
The Data Science Team at WW / WeightWatchers is a small but mighty team that believes in taking ownership of a project from start to finish: working with stakeholders, brainstorming, and bringing the project to life in production. Our projects reach our WeightWatchers members in many different ways, e.g. by supporting them in tracking their progress, finding relevant information, and building a supportive community.
WW has rich longitudinal data across a wealth of touchpoints for millions of members in different geographies and demographics. This gives us a unique advantage to build products that impact our members’ lives.
What you will do
- Develop predictive and other machine-learned models to enhance and optimize user engagement and experience.
- Explore and assess the utility and potential of additional data sources, APIs, and methods (spanning areas such as statistics, deep learning, and natural language processing).
- Perform exploratory and targeted analyses to understand the data, the problem, and to generate insights, such as novel features, that can be fed into our models.
- Collaborate with the rest of the team, and with our consumers and partners in engineering and product, to implement and ship internal and member-facing machine learning applications.
Who you are
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or another technical discipline
- Graduation date between December 2023 & May 2024
- Passion for learning about the latest tools and technologies
- Desire to seek out challenges and learn from other engineers
- Demonstrated experience working in python
