Project description
The TiVo Advertising and Data Platforms enable advertisers and content owners to reach a unique, targeted and highly engaged consumer audience backed by the long-standing history of the TiVo IPGs. Tivo has developed a unique and sophisticated implementation system supporting platform owners, advertisers, content owners and demand partners to successfully provide access to the unique inventory of the Xperi/TiVo platform. Our TV Viewership Data, Display and Video Ads, including DVR Pre-Roll, and streaming linear and AVOD content, delivers relevant audiences and measurable results to brands and agencies.
TiVo has the inventory, data and measurement that is natively available for buyers within a single purchase or via programmatic transactions, buying from both Tivo and partners alike, leveraging Tivo’s proprietary first-party data, measurement and optimization capabilities. The monetization team has a longstanding history in the Advertising & Ad Data space and has established this foundation based on delivering reliable solutions to advertisers, agencies, and data partners along with co-development of products to ensure success to the businesses.
Job purpose:
- Moving the legacy pipeline dashboards from our python, Grafana framework to opensource framework.
- Creating and managing new pipeline starting from scratch till Tableau reports development. These reports are going to be decision making component for our business users.
- As part of business and data footprint expansion, we will need to create and maintain plugin pipelines for easy onboarding & off boarding of new pipelines.
- Documenting and maintaining the knowledge repository of every data lake process set up in the system, starting from requirement till deployment.
Here’s what you get to do:
- You’ll work with the Team on development, implementation, and maintenance of software solutions.
- Responsible for leading software design and development with hands-on approach.
- Capable of designing a high-performance, scalable, distributed product in cloud.
- Review developmental frameworks, coding standards, conducts code reviews and walkthroughs, and conduct in-depth design reviews.
- Identify gaps in the existing infrastructure and advocate for the necessary changes to close them.
- Collaborate with Client, Quality Engineering, Solutions and Operations teams for issue resolution, and timely delivery of end-to-end product
Who we are looking for?
- Good programming skillset in Scala or Java or Python.
- Advanced knowledge in SQL writing and performance tuning.
- 100% hands on ready developer, capable of understanding existing Data Engineering system and start working with minimal onboarding time.
- Good communication skills and ability to learn quick.

Overview of recruitment process
Time to complete interview cycle: 10-14 Days (depending on your availability)
Number of interview rounds: Each round will be around 4060 minutes (not more than 60 minutes).

Given pandemic, all the interviews are conducted remotely using video interview platform.

- Be on time
- In case you can’t interview, please inform your respective recruiter in advance.
- Initial two rounds are hands on interview, be prepared to type code and we use Hackerrank as our platform for coding interview. You can get familiar with their platform for free.
- More technical aspect of data Engineering and concept of Datawarehouse.
- Concept of Data modeling, RDBMS, Spark internals will also be discussed in interview.
- Understanding on Cloud platform (AWS preferred).
