We are seeking a highly motivated person to join our Finance Operations Analytics team at Yahoo. The Anaplan Model Builder is a key role within our Finance organization and is responsible for the successful design, build, and implementation of Anaplan-based solutions. The ideal candidate is a team player who possesses strong analytical skills, has experience building financial models, and enjoys solving and streamlining complex business problems. A successful candidate is a team player, thrives in a fast-paced dynamic environment, and possesses the aptitude to work independently. The ability to ask inquisitive questions to improve financial business processes and technical solutions is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Translate existing solutions, spreadsheets, and business problems into sophisticated multi-dimensional Anaplan models
- Maintain existing Anaplan models with a focus on continuous improvement, incorporating new functionality, and resolving production issues
- Write model documentation to capture requirements, design solutions, and deployments
- Participate in data integration efforts between internal systems and Anaplan
- Monitor and validate data flows to and from Anaplan platform and drive data quality improvements
- Participate and/or lead UAT testing and deployment efforts with internal and external teams
- Provide hands-on training to end users to facilitate the adoption of the Anaplan model
- Validate or challenge the way things have always been done and identify improvement opportunities
- Utilize and share Anaplan model- building best practices
- Estimate the level of effort and prioritize your backlog of work in a way that satisfies team and stakeholder expectations
- Experience working on data-driven products
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Strong analytical and problem- solving skills
- Strong time management and prioritization skills
- Understand and anticipate business needs and address issues reported by customer

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 3+ years of relevant hands-on Anaplan experience
- Certified Anaplan Model Builder (completion of Level 1 and 2 model building and Anaplan Way)
- Ability to collaborate with global teams and work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
- Proven ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple projects and initiatives at the same time
- Ability to identify and mitigate risk based on company and industry guidelines
- Knowledge of agile methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle
- Financial Planning & Analysis experience is strongly preferred
- Ability to translate functional business requirements into technical requirements
- Highly motivated and driven, with an attention to detail and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Basic accounting and finance knowledge; ability to translate financial offline models (excel, g-sheets) into efficient and scalable Anaplan models

If hired for this position in Colorado, the compensation range for this position is between $68,625.00 – $114,375.00. The compensation may vary depending on your location, skills and experience. The compensation package may also include additional incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, plus equity incentives. Yahoo provides industry-leading benefits including healthcare, retirement, company holidays, vacation, sick time, parental leave and an employee assistance program.
