Responsible for creating reports, data extracts, based on detailed customer specifications. Works closely with clients to gather functional requirements, design detailed technical requirements and ensure proper testing/validation of data. Leads development projects with staff and is responsible for the creation, documentation, and support of business intelligence (BI) solutions from Human Resources databases and other data stores. Attention to detail and data analysis experience are critical to be successful in this position.

    1. Supports/Designs and develops detailed Health System-wide Business Intelligence (BI), Business Objects, Crystal Reports, Birst and ad hoc reporting for HR clients and other departments according to user needs using structured design, report writing and testing methodologies.
    2. Logs, tracks and resolves issues and changes in report modifcations or enhancements.
    3. Ensures the security of Personally Identifiable Information and confidentiality guidelines when processing data requests, utilizing department approved data protection tools.
    4. Evaluates current processes and makes recommendations for improvement to supervisor and implements approved changes.
    5. Attends weekly team meetings to discuss team and project related activities, issues, change, communications, and updates.
    6. Knowledgeable of project management concepts. Ability to create work plans and ensure timely completion of work tasks to meet deadlines.
    7. Promotes a team atmosphere that is conducive to the overall accomplishment of goals, schedules, and deadlines.
    8. Openly shares information with all team members and leads small teams as needed.
    9. Keeps abreast of recent developments in Business Intelligence (BI), Business Objects, Crystal Reports, Birst, creating stored procedures and SQL tools
    10. Keeps manager informed of all issues that may impact areas of responsibilities, providing regular status reports.
    11. Performs other job related duties as required.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline or technical training and work related experience or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE

3 year to 5 years of experience writing complex reports using Business Intelligence (BI), Business Objects, Crystal Reports, Birst

SPECIAL SKILLS

Experience programming in database management software packages such as Business Objects, Crystal, and SQL. Experience developing end user reports. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines with minimal supervision. Ability to deal with simultaneous tasks, communicate effectively, solve problems, and develop creative solutions to complex problems required. Strong organizational skills, problem solving and listening skills with attention to detail required. Must possess a high level of customer service skills and participate as strong, collaborative team player. Working knowledge or experience in Microsoft Office tools and an understanding of computer system capabilities to address process requirements required.
