Yara Fertilizers India Pvt Ltd is a 100% subsidiary of Yara International ASA. Yara has supplied fertilizers as well as fertilizer raw materials to the Indian market for over two decades. Yara India has continuously strengthened its footprint in Western and Southern India by providing Crop nutrition solutions with combination of Premium products and Knowledge through unique Farmer centric approach.
Yara’s philosophy is to connect with thousands of farmers at the grass root level and has a strong commitment to serving the agriculture sector in India, thereby improving the livelihood of Indian farmer. To leverage on this and to expand into the northern & eastern geographies of India, Yara acquired Tata Chemicals’ 1.2 MN MT Urea plant in UP, Northern India. With this acquisition Yara India’s scale of operation has grown significantly.
Responsibilities
- Serve as primary agronomic resource to account managers to resolve difficult customer concerns.
- Provide in-field and structured classroom agronomic training for field sales employees.
- Provide timely agronomic information to the field sales team to support the sales effort.

- Coach field sales employees on customer service call best practices
- Assist in resolving customer service calls involving product performance and/or agronomic issues
- Prepare product performance summaries for use by area sales force and Marketing team
- Provide agronomic content for technical and marketing communications for both internal and external audiences
- Plan and execute on-farm agronomic research projects as appropriate. Analyze and interpret agronomy research results.
- Provide written agronomy research summaries that can be used to support product management, positioning, and field sales training
- Coordinate and implement 3rd party research projects (e.g. universities, trade associations, consultancies).
- To ensure compliance of HESQ policies of Yara at work.

- Promoting and ensuring compliance with any statutory or regulatory requirements related to Yara’s business in India
- Managing the business practices as per Yara’s Code of conduct and ethics guidelines

First Class Post Graduate / Doctorate in Agronomy, Soil Science, Horticulture in Agriculture Domains
Work experience
3 to 5 Years of experience of Sales, product development, team coordination and Relationship Management in the core and allied products in the
Agriculture Industry
Proven track record in the areas of operations
