Job Location: Gurgaon
As a Data Scientist, you will help transform massive amounts of structured & unstructured data into tangible business value by analyzing information, communicating outcomes and collaborating on product development. You must have strong experience using a variety of data mining/data analysis methods,
using a variety of data tools, building and implementing models, using/creating algorithms and
creating/running simulations AND a proven ability to drive business results with your data-based
insights. You must be comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders and functional teams.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Solving business problems through undirected research and framing open-ended industry
questions - Identify various data sources to extract huge volumes of structured and unstructured data and
automate the same. - Thoroughly clean data to discard irrelevant information and prepare the data for preprocessing
and modeling - Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques
- Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to determine how to handle missing data and to look
for trends and/or opportunities - Explore and implement various statistical and analytical techniques (including machine learning)
like linear/non-linear Regression, Decision Trees, Segmentation, time series forecasting as well
as machine learning algorithms like Random Forest, SVM, etc. - Use predictive modeling to optimize business outcomes.
- Should be able to combine different models through ensemble modeling.
- Be able to succinctly visualize the findings through a PPT, a BI dashboard (Tableau, QlikView,
Power BI, etc.) and highlight the key takeaways from a business perspective - Remain current on new Visualization techniques and methodologies
- Coordinate with different functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes.
- Staying informed about developments in Data Science and adjacent fields to ensure that
outputs are always relevant.
Desired Candidate Profile
- 5+ years of relevant experience in Data Science domain
•Degree in Computer Science/ Mathematics/ Statistics
•Hands on experience in build and deployment of Statistical Models or Machine Learning
•Experience in writing advanced Python codes
•Knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning,
artificial neural networks, etc.) and their real-world advantages/drawbacks.
•Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of
distributions, statistical tests and proper usage, etc.) and experience with applications.
•Familiarity with Java, C++, SQL will be an added advantage.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams
•Attention to detail to ensure data completeness and accuracy
•Self-motivated, must be able to work independently to prioritize activities and set functional goals/objectives - Ability to apply analytical skills to problem solving
