Primary Skill Set
- Creation of MS SQL Database , Backup/Restore and able to manage the MS SQL RDS system and environment.
- Knowledge of AWS Database Migration Service.
- Work on indexing, replicating and performing disaster recovery services across multiple AWS regions.
- Monitor system performance metrics and logs to identify potential risks/issues.
- Create or modify database objects and/or write SQL code in support of application
- Monitor and improve MS SQL database performance and capacity
Good To have
- Syncing data across data sources or platforms
- Conduct research on emerging database and application development software products, languages, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts
- Introduces and tests new technologies to continuously improve the technical capabilities of the team
- Performs requirements gathering, business design, technical design, development, testing, and implementation
- Recommends hardware configurations as they pertain to database performance and high availability
- Creates and maintains backup and recovery plans and high availability planning#SQL Server and Windows Clustering Administration
- Provides daily operational activities such as backups/restores, application troubleshooting, log monitoring, adds, moves and changes
- Works with other Technology Team members, Product Networking and Tech Support for any application development, network plans, trouble-shooting, implementations and changes on the database servers
- Current hands on working knowledge of AWS Databases such as RDS.
- Powershell Scripting Writing SQL DBA tasks and business logics as required.
- Ensure that database systems are safeguarded and implement necessary security measures to ensure data integrity
- Responsible for the organization, security and protection of the databases and data
- Responsible for controlling privileges and permissions to databases and for standards and design of physical data storage, maintenance, and access and security administration
- Assist with upgrading database for new version release when needed
- Willingness to work in 24×7 and US shifts
