Job Description – Workflow Automation- Data Engineer

Your Responsibilities as a Workflow Automation – Data Engineer:
- Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture /automation workflows
- Build real-time and batch data integrations to integrate data from disparate source systems into a single data source
- Build and maintain scalable ELT/ETL processes using workflow automation tools
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to convert the business requirements into technical design specifications/documents bespoke to their needs
- Collaborate with the technical lead and brainstorm on the requirements
- Knowledge of tools used of Requirement Management, Version Management, Static Analysis for the code, Unit Testing
- Implement industry best practices to maintain code quality and contribute to code review
- Thoroughly understand the existing products, proposes technical solutions. Strive to optimize engineering by applying multiple techniques
- Be flexible and work in a completely dynamic & agile environment
- Identify, prioritize, and execute tasks in the software development life cycle
As a Workflow Automation – Data Engineer:
- You will be part of Emerging digital technolgies cluster in the ZF – Corporate Research and Development (R&D) division.
- You will be part of the global team at ZF contributing to Autonomous Driving / Advanced Driving Assistance Systems /Digital Twins/ AI and Machine learning teams to build digital applications, work on cloud and data technologies and to develop infrastructure to deploy algorithms on embedded devices and web or simulators.

Qualifications:
- Hands on experience in Airflow/Dagster/Nifi ETL development & deployment
- Proficient in developing python scripts to parse data from databases such as MySQL, MongoDB, Neo4J etc.
- Can deliver complex big data solutions with structured and unstructured data
- Some experience in building the Data Integration workflows using Batch (ETL/ELT), streaming (Real-time/near-real streaming), by adopting CDC (changed Data Capture) Framework
- Decent knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming and design patterns
- Able to provide optimized SQL Scripts for complex scenarios
- Good understanding of the processes of data quality, data cleansing and data transformation
- Experience building microservices. GraphQL APIs exp. would be an advantage
- Knowledge on working with Linux, Docker, and Azure cloud (App service, ACI / ACR, VMs, Azure functions) would be an advantage
- Experience working with GIT and GIT workflows
- Solid fundamentals in data structures
- Strong problem solving, deductive reasoning, and decision-making skills
Education & Experience:
- Must have at least 4 years of relevant work experience
- BTech, or MTech in computer science, electrical engineering, mechatronics, or equivalent research experience
- Experience in international (and cross-departmental) projects
