Job Summary:
The Post Market Surveillance Data Analyst role will have significant visibility and a chance make a real difference to our customers as we add value through post market insights. The position will contribute to activities to ensure complaints categorization, trending, data consolidation, statistical analyses, and early identification of safety signals. Additionally, the position will collaboratively work to inform processes, analyze complex data, perform daily management, and drive enterprise PMSV activities focused on EU MDR and other national and international regulations.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- The Data Analyst is responsible for extracting, analyzing, and compiling data to monitor product performance, under the direction of department management
- The position is responsible for data reports (e.g., graphs, charts, tables) prepared for routine monthly and quarterly trending, post market surveillance reporting (e.g., Product Performance Report, Clinical Evaluation Reports, Periodic Safety Update Reports, Risk Management Reports), senior management reviews, ad-hoc requests, and cross-functional requests as needed (e.g., Regulatory, Quality Engineering, R&D)
- Ensure complaint data integrity for reporting by participating in or leading activities related to divisional complaint coding, data conversions, and system upgrades
- Manage multiple projects while maintaining timelines
- Be vigilant of unusual trends related to product complaints and communicate them to management
- Provide input on the optimal organization and structure of the complaint database, as requested
- Support complaint database upgrades, enhancements, issues, conversions by managing communications with vendors and applying patches with IT personnel
- Provide input and support of complaint coding activities for accuracy in trending
- Ensure complaint database is maintained to enabling consistent and retrievable data
- Provide complaint database training on reporting to CRM associates, as appropriate
- Support internal and external inspections by preparing relevant reports
- Provide guidance on various complaint trending methods/improvements to management.
- Provides other data support as assigned

Expected Areas of Competence (i.e., knowledge, skills, and abilities)
- Extensive knowledge of MS Excel and associated reporting formulas, as well as various databases or programs used in the collection and extraction of data
- Proven ability to work well independently and collaboratively on teams in a very busy department while managing multiple ongoing requests, projects, and timelines
- Detailed problem-solving and ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information is a must
- Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment
- Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Ability to leverage and/or engage others to accomplish projects
- Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization
- Strong ability to multitask, prioritize and meet deadlines in timely manner, organizational skills, as well as attention to detail are necessary
Education/Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 3 years’ related work experience is required.
- Prefer candidates with a Master’s degree in an analytical field such as Statistics, Data Science, MIS, Engineering, Math, Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum of 2 years analytics, application or reporting development experience with exposure to analytics tools such as Tableau, Power BI, SQL
- Working knowledge and understanding of FDA’s QSRs, ISO 13485:2016, MDD, EU MDR, and other national/international regulatory quality system requirements.
- Work experience supporting data analysis and trending, preferably in a medical device manufacturing environment.
Travel Requirements
-Ability to travel 10% on a global basis.
