What you’ll do:
- Design and develop compelling data visualizations via a variety of techniques including data storytelling and user-centric design.
- Build tailored visualizations and dashboards
- Defining the required supporting data architecture (e.g., data marts).
- Collaborate with both business and IT partners to identify key use cases and define associated requirements.
- Provide thought leadership, best practices, and standards required to deliver effective and sustainable visualization and analytic solutions to our cross-functional partners.
- Lead and mentor data visualization developers in information presentation and delivery.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- 5+ years dashboard design and development experience
- 5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence and data visualization consulting in-house or professional services
- 5+ years of Tableau-specific delivery projects, including developing and architecting Tableau solutions for large enterprise use cases.
- Should demonstrate a good understanding of business processes and have the ability to identify strategic levers for optimization using data
- Experience applying visualization best practices from leaders such as Stephen Few or Edward Tufte into enterprise reporting solutions.
- Experience with Tableau Prep and Data Modelling based on Tableau best practices
- Experience designing and delivering training classes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills
Preferred Qualifications, please apply if even these don’t apply to you yet:
- Experience installing, configuring, and administrating Tableau on AWS
- Experience integrating Data Science tools into Tableau
- Experience leading workshops using Design Thinking
- Demonstrable proficiency with multiple enterprise Business Intelligence tools
- Demonstrable proficiency with non-Tableau visualization packages in python (e.g. Bokeh, Matplotlib)
- Knowledge of relational and dimensional database structures, theories, and practices. Bonus points for knowledge of dbt.
