Data Analyst, Marketing & Customer Success

The Data Team at Zoom brings data closer to the decision. To achieve this, we need to ensure that we’re meeting the consent, privacy, and regulatory needs of hundreds of millions of users worldwide. We know that Customer Happiness depends on the privacy and security of our users’ data, which is why when we use data to help us build a better product, we need to build best-in-class data tools and systems that are sensitive to evolving needs.
This role will be part of the Marketing & Customer Success Vertical and will be collaborating closely with other data analysts, data scientists and data engineers. This Vertical works very closely with the Marketing Team and the Customer Success Team to extract insights and build ML models around marketing activities and effectiveness, as well as customer behavior. This role will work closely with the Marketing & Customer Success Teams to help define, measure and track success metrics and KPIs for Zoom’s marketing activities and customer support initiatives. The ideal candidate will have experience transforming product KPIs and success metrics into clear, intuitive and actionable dashboards. The ideal candidate will also have strong SQL skills to translate business logic into performant tables that power dashboards. Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Marketing & Customer Success Teams to define KPIs and success metrics for products and features
  • Translate KPIs and metrics into clearly defined, performant tables
  • Build, modify and maintain dashboards to track KPIs, metrics and the general health of products
  • Communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to collaborate on strategy, tactics, and to present findings
  • Analyze data to uncover insights, trends and answer key business questions
Qualifications
  • Degree in a quantitative field such as analytics, statistics, mathematics, or computer science
  • 6+ years (3+ with an advanced degree) of professional experience in a data-driven, analytical role
  • Demonstrated previous proficiency in SQL and experience with Python/R and during technical interviews
  • Experience in quantitative analysis
  • Demonstrated strong communication skills
  • Strong data storytelling skills, including the ability to distill technical insights into a clear and compelling narrative
  • Experience building intuitive dashboards using BI tools, preferably Tableau
  • Experience working independently and as a member of a cross-functional team
  • Experience with Marketing or Customer Success Team is a bonus
  • Experience with dbt is a bonus
