Purpose:
AbbVie Operations Business Insights (OBI) is working to transform AbbVie operations organization to enable the use of data and analytics to drive world-class innovation, performance, and agility.
As part of the strategy OBI BTS team is looking for an Analytics & BI the delivery lead who will be responsible for planning, requirements, design, implementation of Analytics & business intelligence reporting solutions for the Operations organizations. This position will partner with functional and business stakeholders to understand strategic business analytics requirements and work closely with management and project teams, to provide guidance in driving solutions along with effective issue management and communication to key stakeholders, in delivering successful end results. This position is also expected to have Operations expertise in end-to-end supply chain business process (Plan, Source, Make Deliver) domain and work with minimal oversight, by managing and overseeing robust solution, aligning priorities across stakeholders, and communicate results.
Overall Responsibilities:
- Understands organization’s vision, goals, and strategies. Aligns department priorities appropriately, determines critical success factors, evaluates, and pursues initiatives based on fit with strategies.
- Demonstrate expertise with cross-functional Supply Chain teams business processes Supply Chain Planning, Sourcing, inventory management and Distribution for Operations and coordinate efforts in data centralization and reporting using best practices with BI tools.
- Proven SAP underline process understanding and underline data experience across end-to-end Supply Chain including 3PLs, Supply Chain Management.
- Work on strategies aimed to improve business reporting processes utilizing continuous improvement across functions, ensuring that project commitments are achieved, compliance, business, and data privacy requirements are met; and launch plans are executed.
- Lead multiple development teams and manage solutions on (Modern Data Warehouse, Qlik, Power BI) for different analytical and operational reporting needs for the business functions.
- Act as BTS liaison with functional and business team, understand business strategy and needs related to reporting analytics, and lead BTS and partner teams for development and successful implementation of dashboards, data visualization reports to provide actionable insights for business decision making.
- Provide project status updates to leadership BTS team in prioritization, project strategies, manage portfolio by working with the program/project manager.
- Partnering with Enterprise BTS organization evaluate and establish Analytics best practices and solutions related to data visualization and data mining and provide thought leadership on consolidation of reporting platforms for operational & analytics data visualization and modelling.
- Manage the project teams , budget, expenses, and capital costs against the budget
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree 10 + years of experience or Master’s Degree 6 years of experience of experience in application program development. Work experience in the pharmaceutical industry preferred.
- 5+ yrs. of experience in Architecting Data Warehouse, Data Engineering and reporting solutions.
- Expertise knowledge of SAP’s processes which include Logistics, Sales and Distribution and Inventory and Supply Chain Management modules.
- Proven experiences with Legacy and modern data warehouses AWS Redshift, Hadoop/Data Lake Concepts, data ingestion mechanism(ETL Informatica, custom using Python, SQL etc.) and Data Services etc.
- Demonstrate Experience with more than one data visualization tool such as Qlik, PowerBI, and knowledge of analytics capabilities.
- Strong analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
- Experience with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
- Strong problem resolution skills.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional teams towards task completion.
- Experience with Service Operations in a multi-sourced and multi-project environment.
- Proven experience identifying strategies for risk mitigation to reduce or eliminate issues.
Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
- Good experience in business development, project delivery and client relationship management in a technology environment.
- Must be able to work within a matrix organization – balancing the needs of the customer against firm initiatives and goals
- Knowledge of SAP S4/HANA integration process to downstream solutions.
- Must be able working with architects of platform teams to appropriate product/service offerings and come up with recommendations to meet the functional area needs
- Flexibility to adjust to multiple demands, and should be able to navigate ambiguity and rapid change in terms of project/program priorities
- Strong collaboration skills to build teams across business boundaries
- Drives operational improvements and efficiencies through the creation and implementation of rigorous process and controls, acts as a gatekeeper for quality
- Experience in managing external vendors/customer relationships, and in commercial negotiations benefiting the IT programs
- Excellent relationship building and interpersonal skills, including cross-cultural competence
- Proven delivery excellence, ideally using Agile DevOps methodologies
