The Business Operations Analyst will work collaboratively alongside executive management on operationally critical areas such as Accounting, Marketing, Human Resources, Proposal/Contract Management, and other related areas. The Business Operations Analyst will serve as a liaison for other company employees as an expert in company policies and procedures. Essential Functions
The Business Operations Analyst will be responsible for:
Human Resources
- Assisting with recruiting including screening resumes/applications, scheduling and conducting interviews, updating job descriptions, and identifying areas to broaden recruitment efforts
- Providing recommendations for maintaining company compliance with employment laws
- Providing interpretation, explanation, and clarification of ABSI’s policies and procedures and key federal and state regulations, labor and employment law compliance
- Onboarding new employees to include providing new hire training, building new hire packets, initiating background checks, and conducting employment verification
- Assisting with the administration of affirmative action programs
- Maintaining employee files and records in electronic and paper forms
Marketing
- Coordinating market messaging, messaging delivery, communications to include press releases and social media content on both internal and external facing platforms
Business Operations
- Updating company databases such as expense tracking, budgets, business development opportunities, etc.
- Performing market and compensation research and providing detailed reports to leadership
- Monitoring progress of multiple DoD and commercial contracts, tracking expenses and schedules, and updating the appropriate databases
- Utilizing templated contract and legal documents to develop purchase orders, contracts, subcontracts, non-disclosure agreements, teaming agreements, representations and certifications, as well as terms and conditions
- Managing official travel coordination, screening, preparing, and coordinating travel plans and travel financial reporting
- Assisting with filing state required business documentation, as needed
Office Management
- Assisting with office administrative tasks such as answering and transferring phone calls as well as ordering and organizing office supplies
- Maintaining the security of the office space, ensuring guests are signed in and issued a visitor security badge
- Performing other duties as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associates degree in Business, Human Resources, Economics, Management or related field; an additional 4 years of relevant work experience may substitute for an Associate’s degree
- 2 years of prior relevant work experience
- Ability to provide customer service to the team and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong organization, oral, and written communication skills
- Highly motivated and detail oriented
- Proficiency with computer applications and data entry (e.g., MS Excel)
- Capacity to learn and adapt rapidly to change
- Ability to interpret verbal and written instructions and perform duties with supervision
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources, Economics, Management, or related field
- Experience in identifying problems, gathering data, and recognizing solutions
- 1 year of experience in a professional office setting preferred
- Understanding of employment law
- Familiarity with HRIS systems and reporting tools
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and web-based collaborative resources such as SharePoint and Microsoft Teams
