- 4+ years of professional software development experience
- 3+ years of programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
- 2+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems
- A bachelor’s or MS in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience

We are looking for a passionate, talented and inventive Machine Learning Engineer who is great at analyzing large datasets, conducting A/B experiments and building low-latency large-scale system and data/ML pipelines. You will:
- Process and analyze large amounts of data to discover patterns, find opportunities, and contribute to seize these opportunities.
- Run A/B experiments to improve search quality for Amazon customers.
- Work closely with Machine Learning experts to identify improvements and remove obstacles that keep the team from performing at its best.
- Build Machine Learning and Data Processing pipelines. Design and develop low-latency fault-tolerant solutions for Search.
Your solutions should work for all languages that Amazon supports and will be used in all Amazon locales world-wide. You will develop scalable science and engineering solutions that work successfully in production. You will work with leaders to develop a strategic vision and long term plans to improve search globally.
