Product & Engineering works toward delivering a powerful yet flexible technology platform keeping the needs of the end customer in mind. Our development teams ensure that all the codes are delivered with the highest quality. Product managers are home to technical experts who work together to design and build our software and product roadmap, whereas our QA team is constantly aimed at enhancing the quality of our platform delivery through test methodologies for implementations, upgrades, and migrations.
Team and Role Overview
We are is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our Product Management team as a Business Analyst in the Market Data & Electronic Trading team. This role provides a tremendous opportunity to contribute to the development and rollout of our Front Office solution and requires someone with the strong motivation and desire to work in a fast-paced environment. The Business Analyst will contribute to core aspects of the solution and will participate to the overall product roadmap process.
Responsibilities
Work closely with clients to document Business Requirements
Writing detailed Functional Specifications of Client and Market Requirements for developers, including test cases
Using/testing the system daily, trying to mimic client’s workflows, business scenarios, and daily operations as our clients and users would do, to identify functional gaps
Keeping a critical eye on system usability and user experience in general, to come up with simple ideas/features that could make the system easier to implement, configure, set up, use and maintain
Collaborating with Customer Support, Customer Delivery, Senior Product Managers, QA, and Engineers to investigate/validate client’s issues and detail possible solutions or workarounds
Collaborating with the Calypso Quality Assurance team to develop test cases
Iteratively test developed software, to ensure that business requirements are met
Present and demonstrate solutions to Clients
Working closely with senior Product Managers to keep documentation complete and current
Interacting with Market Specialists team (Pre-Sales) to understand Go-To-Market priorities and client requirements
Skills And Requirements
A solid understanding of financial products in general with a specific focus on Market Data FX and Fixed Income trading and or Operations.
Business Analysis Skills with a very strong Analytical Background
Understanding of one or more aspects of Trading and Trade Processing and Market Data: trade capture and valuation based on linear and non-linear models, curve and volatility surface construction, trade workflow, cash flows, sensitivity, and other risk analyses, settlements, position management, and accounting
Knowing Java will be an added advantage
Ability to work with little supervision, be a fast learner, self-motivated, team player, and collaborator with strong problem-solving skills
Good oral and written communication skills are essential
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Mathematics/Science/Commerce
Bachelors or Master’s degree in Business/Finance field or equivalent
Understanding the business – industry or market
